We have been getting vibes for a while that Sisu are wanting out. Hence the likes of Simon Jordan (albeit maybe for publicity) said the club is available but there’s too many moving parts to bring it together. Only someone with real wonga can do that. Ashley has been looking for a way back into football and at the same time wanting to base his Fraser Group operations in the midlands.
Someone mentioned the money he got selling Newcastle hasn't been taxed on yet and he has so many months to reinvest before it becomes taxable, which maybe why he's buying the stadium

Robins said something which I'm not sure many have picked up on. He said something along the lines of hoping to be at the CBS for the next couple of games, and then really get things sorted out during/after the World Cup break...

I suppose that could mean anything from a sale of the club during that time, or just a delayed process so SISU have time to sell all our best players in the January transfer window as well as taking 20 million for the club and fucking off once that's done. Could even mean Joy dressed as a slutty secret santa.

...and we're all mad here.

Simon Gilbert adamant that Mike Ashley hasn’t been in touch with SISU. I wonder if SISU are watching from the sidelines thinking WTF is going on like the rest of us. Joy checking her phone every couple of minutes to see if she’s had a missed call from Mike Ashley.

Or could just be that’s how long it’ll take for the new owner to take over, whoever it is.

He will have deferred any gains which has a time limit, so could be plausible.

I reckon the going rate for a championship club would be about £50m.

If he’s paid £30m for ACL and offered £20m to sisu that’s will do for both and be a standard purchase price.
I don’t know. I think SISU will hold out for a lot more.

It gives an ember of credence to them (SISU) being 49%. It’ll be a debt park. They’ll collect 6-7% annual or whatever to satisfy their hedge fund portfolio with a buy out option at their balance sheet stake (£60m - guess). They can’t crystallise for less than their debt - they are a hedge fund.

Some kind of sale mechanism on Prem promotion.

How would Gilbert know, things do go on behind closed doors.

That could happen though, there have been loads of rumours one with sisu linking up with an investor on a 51%/49% basis. I hope the investor is Elon Musk

Just saying, once you add up that, the Keys comment and the Telegraph article it very much looks like he just wants the stadium.
Just can't see it, he'll likes the limelight and he likes to be seen, he'll be wanting to get on match of the day and sky super sunday

Why though? As far as I know he’s never done events companies before.

He likes being a football club owner. Tried to get in on one earlier in the year.

Just don’t see a play on the stadium and not the club from him at all.

Can't quite work out why though. The Telegraph article mentions waffle about him liking to gamble at casinos and how that might be why he wants it.

Yup, sorry to say it really does just look like he’s in it to buy the CBS, the football club just doesn’t seem to be on the radar.

Well I guess there’s no point negotiating for anything else until you’ve got the main prize sorted. Would be odd to try and set up other businesses here and say you want to get back into football and then not even consider buying the club, but agree it’s hard to square the circle

Look. can anyone confirm I will be getting my £100K of bond money back or not?

Those boot cut jeans and brogues won't buy themselves.
I know Richardson is a scumbag and all but all the people that funded him and wasps losing out too would be perfect.

🤷🏻‍♂️

Just saying you’d expect some contact before steaming in to buy it if that was the plan. After all we heard when he was interested in Wasps.

I think the contact has been made but they are tight lipped af on it. Maybe a non-disclosure or something.
