They have literally zero self awareness.

They have breached the salary cap themselves in the not so distant past too & have actually taken players from Saracens by offering more money than Saracens could pay.

Funnily enough they were one of the biggest dissenting voices about reducing the cap too yet somehow blame that as well.

Why would a Socialist Labour group want to help a bunch of nouveau riche hurray Henry rugger buggers from London? Ive never really understood it.
I know a few of people are meant to have had some nice twickenham hospitality out of it. But seriously there’s got to be more to it than that, I get that the general hatred of sisu was used as a Trojan horse, but why? You cant stiff the council tax payers and expect nobody to question it surely.

Read this report absolute hatred displayed (tbf on both sides) & a very clear timeline (ish) on the whole shit show.

Very clear bias towards CCC but more or less nails it.

Unless prompted, football fans barely give rugby a second thought whereas rugby fans live a big bubble of inferiority looking for any reason to complain about a sport they definitely pay no interest to
Yeah that’s the difference. We’re slagging rugby off because rugby is being talked about. I don’t think I’ve ever bought up the sport to talk about it unprompted.

They may run under a Labour flag, but they're about as socialist as Farage in most respects.
Disgraceful bunch of hypocrites.

Clllr Gary Ridley head of the Conservatives came across very well yesterday on CWR, well spoken and business like, Duggins meanwhile struggles to string a sentence together and puts his foot in it numerous times with his comments.

No football fan on here would dream off slagging of Rugby at every opportunity would they?
Fucking egg chasers!

Its different. It comes from nowhere, not many of us will have an uncalled for outburst about a sport we don’t follow.

Fair play to him but I wish this action was there in 2014.

We’ve wasted 8 years pissing about when it all should have been sorted then and Wasps nowhere near the arena. The council, the owners and wasps are all culpable for this and if it wasn’t for Mark Robins this club could be all but dead now.

Exactly this. It all got far too personal for some of them. Dislike of our ownership clouded decision-making and the actual club, its fans and place in the city were overlooked.
What was the call by Lucas, "hell will freeze over before I sell to that woman ". It never struck me as good and sound mentality over governance of a community asset.

It struck me that CCC and a certain third entity never allowed it to be a community asset. The stadium was always an asset of CCC and a third entity. The local community was never allowed close enough to deem it as a community asset.

I think it needs to remembered that the local community could take over community assets if they felt they could run it better, which I am sure they could have.

CCC and a certain 3rd entity never gave the community a chance of doing this.

Never really got why Gilbert was perceived by so many to be some kind of enemy agent tbh.

The only time he got me angry was when he announced there was going to be some exciting news regarding the Ricoh saga, got us all speculating about billionaires, and a few days later it turned out to be the publication of his book

V few decent socialist politicians left….tho’ Z Sultana seems an exception. Maybe get her to join any campaign to return the CBS as a ‘community asset’….in perpetuity. 👍✊

To be fair to her she cleverly worded that so she can easily renege on it. I like Sultana but she definitely worded it so she can be on the right side regardless
what are we talking about here, not sure the quote I can find would be classed as her supporting further funding.

“I think we need to know what’s going on. There are a lot of question marks about why they have requested £13 million from the combined authority.

Personally, as a sports fan myself I would want to centre fans’ concerns and make sure that the Sky Blues and Wasps fans are able to watch their teams play without any problems. For Coventry City fans that has only been recently addressed given the fact they were having to travel to St Andrews to watch Coventry City play.

We need to make sure everything is ok and look into the details but If there is a good argument there then I would absolutely support that."

Said it earlier in the thread and I know it’s been echoed a few times.

But surely, surely, surely the actions of Lucas, Mutton, Reeves etc need to be reviewed.

How much money has been wasted on this whole saga? And who has profited as there has to have been a number of underhand “conversations” throughout this.

I didn’t say she supported it, just said she worded it so she can 50/50 it

And it won’t be the last as he (MR) is doing everything he can to halt the administration!

Yesterday was my 'Wellbeing Day' off from work, (we get one every year) and I spent most of it stressing about clandestine meetings and emailing counselors. It's never easy being a City fan is it?
