Found it!

Enough to bring a tear to your eye.

How's the £34M going to the council owned Tom White Skip Hire coming along?

It does make you wonder how many of the Labour councillors would have entered the council house on the Tory side if they held the balance of power in Coventry.

No I mean the project as a whole was the start of regeneration, you can’t separate the two. To claim there’s been no regeneration is ludicrous.

How come you never see opening a huge supermarket and sports stadium in a top ten list of ways to add regeneration to a local area.

It's like arguing that Peter Sutcliffe was an excellent lorry driver.

The precious rugby family that they so espouse.....

from their forum, in response to players finding jobs at other clubs

Yeah, I think we all wish them well. But I would happily wish bankruptcy on those 4 clubs trying even now to increase the cap.
We need a reset button.

Have you got that list?

Here’s a paper on using stadia for urban regeneration: Urban Regeneration and Sports Stadiums

It’s a fairly well accepted urban regeneration tool.

But then you seem to think a library was the main bit so this might a bit beyond you.

Why is their game against Newcastle Falcons on Sunday not listed as cancelled. Both the Wasps website and the Gallagher Premiership website have the game as on. Not sure why as they have no players or coaches - unless there's something we don't know about???

If we follow the timescale of Worcester their remaining fixtures should now be cancelled and the previous results removed from the table.

Notice issued to Bondholders.

What a strange situation, asking for additional funds from people owed £35m to fund a marketing campaign for the sale of the arena.

Clearly, no suitors at this time.

Look at the size of that stadium. Much more suited to rugby and in a larger conurbation without having pissed off the locals.

Don’t know what wasps were thinking with the arena.

Very much so.

Unless they’ve been lowballed and want to use others to push the price up.

Still, I can’t imagine an arena of that size needing marketing to facilitate a sale. If someone is interested, I’m sure they’ve already come forward.

If no one is out there, probably best to let it go to Sisu and hope they can sell it as a package deal TBH.

But you’d have thought marketing the assets was part of the administrators job surely?

Why is it not best that it goes to SISU anyway? It will make no difference to CCFC if it’s owned by the club or them.

If they would want to sell CCFC in future they’d have to sell the whole lot, no one would be interested in the club without the stadium.

Got to say when I park down by the Horseshoe and walk down to the ground the area doesn't scream regeneration to me.

Past the initial shopping centre and stadium itself what else has been done in the area? You could probably make an argument that once decontaminated a shopping centre would have been built with or without the stadium.

To be fair I don't think I'd ever been up that way before the stadium was built so it could be way better now than it was before.

Well I’m kinda hoping an owner who can afford to run the club would come forward and out the parts together themselves. Cos I’ve got no faith Sisu won’t just squat there like they are with the club and not progress anything.

So on the one hand we're being told there are buyers queuing up but on the other the bondholders are being told if they don't pay to market to potential buyers they've seen the last of their money. For a change something doesn't add up here.

Is this going to end up back with the council and arguments about who should own it again. If it does I suspect SISU will want the required maintenance done by the council and then either a very lowly priced 250 year lease or a long term deal for a peppercorn rent. Essentially you'll have a council that don't want to, and history tells us, aren't capable of running the complex and an owner of the club who wants to pay fuck all for it.

On the bright side if SISU get the stadium I can't really see them sticking around as landlords. Surely that's the point at which they put the whole lot up for sale.

I find it hilarious on here how arguments change from one minute to the next depending on who is being argued again. When CCFC are moving out it’s “what about the local economy? Wont somebody think of the small businesses?” Then when someone says the arena has benefitted the local economy suddenly it’s an outrageous idea

There are infinitely more jobs and investment in North Coventry thanks to that patch of land than there were when it was a gas tower. Come on.

They’re a hedgefund. They don’t want assets that don’t bring a return on investment. Get the stadium and they can offload at potential profit, if not break even.

Interesting. Do we think it could go back to the council and them cut their losses and try and get rid of the freehold?
