The young lad Davenport at the back looks solid.

In all seriousness he should of gone on to achieved so much more!

I miss the days when you could be a fat lad and still fit into a replica shirt.

In fairness I don’t think he had much choice in the end.

Typical City 1-0 up. they go down to 10 and we let it slip. Taxi for Black if he doesn't turn it around second half....

Always remember we had to literally bang on the door of a boozer in the centre of Walsall at about half 10 in the morning (Think it was the George or the Dragon something like that) and when the Landlord stuck his head out and saw 50 odd of us he quickly opened up and made a fortune as more and more joined us throughout the morning.

Game weren’t bad either.

Some good players in that team; Joachim, Warnock, Davenport & Deloumeaux was massively underrated too - criminal the way he was bombed out under Reid.

What a performance lads. McSheffrey gets better by the week. I reckon we can have a good go at promotion with Black at the helm. PUSB.

Just watched the game, Deloumoux, Warnock, Joachim all looked good. However, I think this year's team is better and would beat that team. If I was picking 11 from the two teams then: I would keep this seasons keeper, play all of the back three plus Dabo. I would put Warnock in for McCallum, assuming he can play wing back. I love Kelly but would maybe swap him for Deloumoux. Walsh is a must. I think I would go for Mc Sheffrey and Joachim more than O'Hare and Allen and would also prefer Adebola to Godden.
The last three choices, not much in it. Not sure where Gudjonsan was for this game as I thought he was a good player. Considering the comparison is between second and third division teams, it shows how good we are this season. Has the standard in the Championship improved? Possibly, but we more than matched Blues in those two games.

The standard of the football league has definitely gone up, especially over the last 5 or 6 years. Didn't Gudjohnson only sign that January?

Was just about to say about Gudjohnson! Really liked him, exciting player. Think it was him who scored really early in a game under black (it was either Plymouth or Derby I think). We were on a great run of games at the time and won the game 3-0 or 3-1.

How come I don’t remember the keeper Gavin Ward ? Was watching the game and didn’t know who he was until just now. Strange just can’t remember him mind you I am pretty ancient !

I watched until we went 3-1 up. At that point it seemed obvious we would win so I went and did some gardening.

Anyway, what I wanted to say is, that I think that we play more attractive football now than then.
