I can fully dismiss that Chopra rumour. His agent works for SSN.

Nouble seems to be more in front of Haynes and Tudgay and Jackson alternating sides up top. Tudgay looking to head it on for Jackson, and in fairness has won more headers in this first half than he has in every other game I've seen him in altogether

Fan behind took until now to realise Webster isn't playing. I'd be massively offended by that if I was Pennington

Pretty pleasing half. Best performance I've seen in a log while attacking and defensive wise. Back four look like they've played every game together, and OBrien especially seems to be loving the space and width he's got on the right.

Jackson and Tudgay working hard up top. Even Thomas getting stuck in and despite backing out of a couple of challenges, isn't doing bad (never thought I'd be praising him!!). One thing noticeable that he does do well is he covers Phillips' position very well when he's forward, and slots in when defending a counter attack.

Got 2-1 Walsall written all over this. We needed to put it to bed in the first half.

Yes, with an injury time dodgy penalty no doubt.

Good chance for Walsall after Nouble wandering without cause, not in the game, Haynes having to mark two and beat for pace, good cross evades Allsopp but no one in the middle to convert

Having two fullbacks seems to be working, JOB and Phillips linking well

Does really sound like Phillips has added invaluable over-lapping width. Tbf to Pennington I'm sure he said in his CWR interview that he was primarily a CB-possibly one who has been shunted out wide due to lack of height?

It was quite funny hearing Clive doing his "OMG, what are we going to do without "The Rock" Webster in the side?!?" routine. He must be his lover.

Keep it up Alsop lad, sounding like a proper 'keeper now and holding them at bay single handed!

All Walsall so far and they've just hit the post after Allsopp saves and parries the ball out

Middle of the park has gone to pot and Nouble not in the game.

Hope we don't cock this up through all our own doing

I wanted to see Pennington at CB and he's doing well. Be interesting to see how he copes this half where Walsall are coming at us a lot more

Nouble flagged offside after being our through by Jackson. Had no pressure what so ever so shouldn't have been off

Walsall hit the post again. Think Allsop might have had it covered but the other end of the pitch so can't be certain

Don't think he's spotted Walsalls change in approach to counter ours and we are suffering with chance after chance. But so far Allsopp and the goal frame has kept them out

I'm assuming they've changed it up at half time and Pressley hasn't reacted?

My big question. Why did Tudgay take the penalty? Since he hardly ever plays , he cannot be our designated penalty-taker. Do we even have a designated spot-kick taker? Please don't tell me we don't have one this far into the season. Considering the number of penalties we could have been awarded, it seems a startling deficiency if we don't have a penalty specialist.

Haynes struggling to throw to a team mate now. Two in succession straight to Walsall

Good chasing to keep possession from a loose ball there by Jackson though

Think it'd a case of decide amongst yourself. Poor management IMO. Have to have the right mentality to step up and I would never think Tudgay had that coming into the game

If Reda was able to pull rank, OBrien should try it too!

After the last mess of a pen Pressley said we didn't have a designated taker, it was down to whoever fancied it on the day. Seems like that's still the plan. Would have through after the last time he would have changed that.

Do you not remember after the Worcester debacle? SP said that we did not have a designated penalty taker and it was up to whoever felt most confident at the time! Have you ever heard anything so ludicrous in professional football?! It appears that this remains the case.
