Waggot has told CET that out of the £150,000 gate receipts from JPT the agreement is that The Football League get 10% (£15,000) and the £135,000 MUST be split between the 2 clubs equally (£67,500 each).
Nice payday for anyone playing us seeing as the average gates for most other teams in this trophy have only been around 2,500.

Waggott is being a little short sighted.............or deliberately playing dumb, as what he forgets to add is that if we win the Northern Final and get to Wembley, that brings in itself extra revenue, but also may bring back some of our missing fans, or even generate a new generation of younger fans instead of them supporting one of the premiership glory supporter teams, which iteslf will generate more income.

The biggest opportunity here isn't the gate on the night, per se; but the huge crowd that's destined to arrive. To that end, it's incumbent on the club - both on and off the field - to operate to the best of their ability; to hold onto as many of those fans as possible for the hopeful play-offs run-in

...and if they had done a deal on the revenue share from all the concessions by now then a 30k crowd would have produced perhaps a 100k on the night too! Some decision making has been poor from them. This revenue stream is set to get higher with larger attendances as we reach the play offs too with potentially a couple more 30k+ crowds? Are they on this alone not missing on a few hundred K? Wish people would stop going on about SISU putting money in their back pocket etc - at the end of the day this club is losing money every month even without paying rent so any money made will simply lessen the amount SISU have to put in to keep us going for another month.

The statement from Waggott is a bit pointless as it was CCFC who set the ticket price at £5 so they knew what revenue they could expect (I am assuming they had read the rules of the competition) but also didn't see Waggott complaining that we only got around £250,000 from the Arsenal game and around £200,000 from the Spurs game. And if we get to Wembley that will bring a pretty penny too.

It evens itself out I suppose, but, in fairness to Waggott, we took sizeable followings to Arsenal + Spurs whereas Crewe, are taking an embarrassing support, well, for a semi-final.

I have no particular love for SISU simply because I feel they have made an appalling job of running the club I love, but to be fair no worse than all the previous owners over the past 25 years. It is a fact that they have lost millions by getting themselves involved with the club and making a pigs ear of running it but its incorrect when people go on about SISU asset stripping or taking money out of the club. I would actually have been quite happy if the club had been run so well and been so successful that they had been in a position to take money out but sadly they have squandered millions with one bad decision after another.

The rules state that it is 45% per club after expenses.

more importantly 20% has to be paid to the Customs and Excise for VAT (perhaps we not paying them either).
So 30,000 x £5 = £150,000
less VAT 30,000 x 0.83 = £24,900 (Tickets are actually £4.17+vat = £5.00)
less expenses - stewards, policing, away team travelling and overnight accommodation = say £12,000 (guessing here).
This leaves £113,100 x0.45 = £50,895

Still nice payday especially for Crewe.

Hope we are not relying on yours either 45 +45+10 is 100%. You have made the classic mistake of mixing up different methods of counting. Pity since your other maths appears correct. I would have thought it was split and then expenses taken out.i.e Crewe pay for their travel and expenses and we pay for ours. Don't know though! Still better than a slap on the face with a wet fish as my Mum used to say! PUSB

Your all missing the point here.....this is a game which provides CCFC with an opportunity of expanding its core support. Many of the people attending this game will either lapsed or non supporters. Hopefully, a good display coupled with a win will bring them back or convert them. The pricing at £5.00 is therefore an investment in the future.

The £5 fee makes it affordable for families to come which has to be a good thing. Football has drifted to far from normal working people but when you price at this level people will come. However you couldn't run the business' on those numbers. Or could you? Need to think about it......
