This boy Willis is a testement to tenacity and great work from our academy ,he was rejected by two or three local rivals youth set ups and has come back strong through personal refusal to take failure, ultimately rewarded with captaining England U18s.the question for us is would you rather lose two or three young ones and keep Keogh /Cranie

I Don't think we can keep Keogh and Cranie.

To be fair to them if they have a chance to better themselves in their careers it is hard to say no to that.

However if the money was going to go to them, then hopefully it could go to a couple of free tansfer experienced pros. ie lose 2 players and gain 4. We don't have a squad and that is what we need

Wow so 1.3 million gone straight away. So that is the money recouped from transfer fees gone on this loss and the rent.

(Glad they chose to sell the Juke for between 750k - 1 million with 4 months of the season left ) as oppose to selling him now.

Don't know how true this is but it says there is a difference of £3.7m between championship tv rights money and league one, however I seem to remember the recently negotiated tv rights deal was 20-25% less this time around?

Yeah it doesn't seem to be as well documented as the PL 'solidarity' payments......and we shouldn't forget they will also be poaching youth players for peanuts soon too.

Someone recently posted a tabular format of the new system ,Stupot at first glance it looks like a rip off and it may be .The payments that are set in the formula depending what league your clubs in seem come incrementally on appearance levels for the new club or nexr ,so it may stop shortermist thinking from owners like ours and benefit a club over the longterm .Thers a big gap between prem ~champ and now were down here its pretty low.

Your right there Wingy, although conversely premier clubs may be more likely to poach youngsters knowing that they won't be losing as much if they don't make it, then sell them on to championship clubs for £1m+ (e.g like Drinkwater) win-win all round for the big boys.
