Because they might bend the rules slightly, Sky will want the best games which will attract the viewers
Absolutely, they are in control. They may even move it to the Wednesday night if it means them possibly showing promotion celebrations (e.g. Weds 8pm kick off after Ipswich and M'boro have kicked off at 7:45pm). Sky rule the roost.

Honestly, I do think if you want a ticket for both Pompey and Wrexham you'll get one

I hope I’m just being paranoid but I think getting Wrexham tickets is going to be utter carnage. It’s a once in a generation match.

Which is why using the points system would be fairest.
Blimey! Why don’t you ban people who live hundreds of miles away and therefore don’t amass points, altogether. The League 1/2 days were grim, but I had a fine old time visiting the hot spots of the lower leagues, I’ve got very little chance now and invariably end up in the home end. Or in the case of the Sheff We’d game, in the away end with a friend who supports t’Owls.

@Cov kid 55 - do you get this agitated when they use the point system for away games?

I'm certainly not condoning the banning of fans who live away from Coventry given I live 180 miles away. 🤣

What I'm proposing for high demand home games is to use the same principle.

I have 300 points. I should be behind people in the queue who have, say, 500 points, but should surely be ahead of people who have zero. If that's unfair to you then presumably you think all away matches should just be a free for all as well?

Only because there's a chance none of the actual football will be on sky.
If it's a potential playoff qualifying game, the Canadian Disney rep will probably be there and sky TV will need 70 minutes of the 90 to point the camera at him.

This suggests Leicester v Hull is being moved from the Wednesday to Tuesday, potentially to put Leicester v Millwall on the Friday.

Assuming this is confirmed - albeit not public - and not just speculation/expectation?
I bloody hope so. I already had a hotel booked for Saturday, then rushed to book one for Friday after those rumours surfaced a week ago, now booked Sunday on the back of what Saddle said. I don't even know if I'll get a match ticket yet, this whole business is stressing me out. 🤣

What do you mean? Its already scheduled for the Tuesday

If Sky are putting Wrexham back to the Sunday for a potential trophy lift I can imagine they're going to push Pompey back 24 hours for a potential promotion

Just my thoughts for that

But I am told Wrexham is the Sunday Midday

I thought they couldn't move midweek fixtures to a different day?

Just checked and on Skysports.com, they've got our game listed on the Tuesday as a 7.45pm KO, on Sky Main Event from 7pm.

Surely that's it now sorted??

I can't see why we're dragging our heels on ticket sales.
