I can imagine he was on a decent wage with us so best he was moved on to free up funds for any loans we are likely to bring in between now and the 31st. Fingers crossed he shakes his persistent ankle injury so he can hit the same heights as he did whilst at Rochdale.

Offal says he was released from his contract. I guess a few bob has been written off to get him off the books.

I think his signing was a mistake & he was always carrying an injury all last season and was never going to show the form he did in the few seasons before we signed him.

I don’t think his signing was a mistake, his style just didn’t suit. Had a bad injury too. Robins signed about ten players last season and he was the only one who didn’t quite come off, it happens.

Don't care about the rest of you, I liked him. He gave us genuine width, he provided an aerial threat in the box and best of all, he left his foot in when required.

My fave moment was when he got a nasty sneaky foul against Port Vale right in front of us, no FK given, by a little shit who had been pulling that all game and getting away with it. I did my usual screaming at the ref trick, all outraged. Then as if he had the words of Nick ringing in his ears, he "snapped him in half" 1 min later, first chance he got. I think he got booked. Worth it. Old school.

Although not great if it cost us money to offload him, it's probably worth it for having Elvis Costello on board instead.
