Viktor Moving on (25 Viewers)

The world seems to want him to fail. And i'll admit he looked slow and clumsy yesterday which was a shame. But he plays 100 mph and always has done. Away at Old Trafford he'll have been fired up, i'm confident he'll do well there but Arsenal are a weird team that don't really ever supply their strikers. Typical they took Vik off and within 2 mins Saka pinged in a first time cross which they failed to do all game when he was on.

De Ligt did a fantastic job on him, although another ref would have penalised him 5/6 times for fouling Vik.

Let's see how Leeds do against him next week.

this is the same player who scored a hattrick v Man city
a goal v then premier league southampton while a city player and has improved massively since then

He will score 20+ this season without doubt

7 goals in 21 games (all comps)
1 goal in the last 8 games, (which was a pen)
not the flying start i assumed he would get at arsenal, i guess arteta isnt using him the same way sporting/cov did?

It’s an insult to Gyokeres to even compare him to Wright. Night and day.
They have similar traits. Neither of them are classic target men in the sense of winning flick ons and holding the ball up.

Both seem happiest when cutting in from the channel with the ball and committing defenders.

Vik is stronger and seems more competitive in nature for sure.

If we got promoted, would we go for him?(assuming he’s still struggling)

Vik is never coming back here. He left Sporting as he wanted to play Champions League football for a club who had a chance of winning it. All Arteta has done is praise him for what he brings to the team.
He's not going from a Premier League winner to a relegation battle if we go up.

Vik played his cards brilliantly… tearing up Championship then move to a lesser Portuguese league then a big move to premier league. Even his agent said when he moved to Portugal there were better offers he just played the long game. He is 27 soon unfortunately I fear one step too far but a good game of poker with his team and suitors! Didn’t cut it with Brighton and they are pretty good at talent evaluation, won’t cut it with Arsenal, Cov or whoever in PL. …

Lesson here is that PL is so tough, so fast, so powerful and unforgiving if we go up any sentiment to players past or present is very naive.

I still maintain Arsenal was the wrong team for him. Their styles dont match. He would have done better at someone like chelsea

Not a snowflakes chance in hell.

This has to be the most bizarre suggestion ever posted on this forum, but no doubt it will get the Bamford cucks gushing!

Bit of an over reaction 🤣 I never said it’s likely. My angle was more, he’s struggling and there’s already suggestions he’s not at the level they want. In 6 months time if they want him out and we’re in the Premier league, would he consider it. Probably not as his stock is high and would go to a team in European comps etc but imagine it tho 🤣

He won't come back to cov I don't think. He might not be elite club level but he would be able to go to a club still above sporting and cov levels.

Ac Milan
Marseille
Dortmund

Etc

Wow, cannot believe people are suggesting we would get Vik back even on loan if we go up this season. You're living in fantasy land.

Arsenal don't play to his strengths but he'd walk into pretty much any top tier European team (bar Man City, Munich, Barca or Madrid). Voted as 28th best player in the world in the guardian's top 100.
