Presuming you’re talking about Liverpool 🙄 if so I think he’d probably be a good fit, could really see him flourishing there tbh.
I am of a younger age and maybe, just maybe I would be of a different opinion if I had lived through 87 and us not getting into Europe

But I hate Man United way more than I will ever hate Liverpool, I would take Liverpool winning the league for the next 30yrs straight if it meant I never saw Man Utd win as much as even a League Cup in my lifetime again

Same. Couldn’t give a toss about us not qualifying for something 6 years before I was born because of violence. With some of our fans, the victims seem an afterthought. IT MEANT WE DIDN’T PLAY IN EUROPE!!!

Don’t like Liverpool fans but it’s fuck all to do with history.

Heysel was the straw that broke the camels back, it was a dilapidated wreck of a stadium which shouldn't have hosted a final and combine that with hooliganism it was an accident waiting to happen - Mrs Thatcher despised football and UEFA were sick of English fans going abroad and causing bother, they needed a reason to withdraw English teams from Europe and Heysel provided that - It was Thatcher that proposed the ban until we cleaned up our act remember

Whilst I am in no way trying to justify what happened it wasn't just a Liverpool related issue, it was the 80s and unfortunately most people who watched an English team abroad in those days went abroad and behaved appallingly - And it is still a reputation national team fans are tagged with to this day

Different player but just read PSV Eindhoven are after Hamer (Great move for him that would be)

Are we due anything if he does go?

10% of any fee apparently.

I was at Wembley aged 18 to see us beat Spurs in 1987 (best day/weekend of my life ) but I don’t for a second blame Liverpool for us missing out on Europe.

Quite apart from the fact that Heysel stadium was a crumbling relic ‘both Liverpool & Juventus had expressed serious safety concerns to UEFA way ahead of the game’ but at that time fans of most English clubs were causing mayhem both at home & across Europe, it just happened to be Liverpool fans on this occasion but could just as easily have been Man Utd, Spurs, West Ham, Villa, Forest, Leeds, Arsenal or any other of the English clubs playing in Europe at that time.

grown men who a) call a team "manure" and b) hate a team for being successful even though that team does give a fuck about us are very confusing.

Also Liverpool the club and it's fans are far worse

It's not about hating a team because they're successful. For me, it was more that growing up as a teen in the early 90s at school, all my mates were Utd fans and were insufferable. The derision directed to me as a Cov fan whilst they were cleaning up all the trophies, truly p!ssed me off.

I'm loving this implosion they've been having over the last few years as I can just imagine how those school friends are feeling seeing numerous other clubs win silverware whilst they plummet down the table and fall apart off the pitch. It's a sort of 'karma' like feeling I guess.

I've never called them manure either (but I know that wasn't directed at me) - that's playground stuff.

As for Liverpool, I was a fan of there's before switching to follow my Kenilworth born step-dad in the mid-80s so I don't mind them. I know a few scousers and they're decent folk as well.

When anyone uses terminology like: Manure, Liverscum, Liebour, Deform, Wet Spam, Vile etc etc ‘I Immediately stop reading.

It was the patronising people who supported Yaaanited when I was growing up at school that tipped it for me, who never went and couldn't point out Old Trafford on a map - It is now hilarious they are having to either save face and stick with it or they have scurried off to support other teams now they are shit (I know of a Man Utd fan at school who is now a stanch Blues supporter these days)

The Manc obsessed media and the massive 'This is Manchester United we're talking about' inquest on Sky whenever they lose a game is nauseating as well

Long may it continue

what beating us on pens?

it was offside, we need to get over that
I will go to the grave believing it wasn't offside, never before or after have I seen VAR draw a line over the defending players foot and the other way round they'd have found a way to give it

Besides the point, other than Maguire their players handled themselves embarrassingly

There is absolutely no doubt just how poor and mismanaged they have been over the last 10 years, and yet somehow in that time they’ve still managed to win 5 major trophies 🤔 almost as annoying as it is astonishing.

yep, much like "i'm not racist but" is usually followed by racism "manure" or "liverscum" is usually followed by drivel

Yes but they spent years deriding the FA and League Cups as minor competitions - So much so they actually withdrew from the FA Cup to play in the club world cup once - So by their own standards they have won fuck all really

anyway moving on from weird names for teams, peoples illogical hatred and SBT's weird and creepy obsession with me

it does look like Vik is currently a lot of peoples 2nd choices

United want Mbuemo, Arsenal Sesko and Liverpool seem to want Isak

I don't really care where he goes, just be nice if he does and we get a bit more cash

that is nonsense by the way, they didn't want to pull out the fa cup but were basically forced to by the fa and a government who wanted to get the world cup to england and thought united playing there would help

Let's get this 100% straight Dave. United wanted Vik, and he apparently doesn't want to go there. Because they are shite.
