Where to though? Sesko was the first choice but they have already moved on from him due to the 100m fee and Isak will cost even more, so what other top class striker would be available?

I have no idea where to, but in every negotiation there will be a point where the deal is simply unpalatable, only Arsenal will know what that point is and who else they can switch attention to.

Honestly surprised though he's not gone to Juve or somewhere else in Europe.

Want him to succeed in the prem but think he may struggle a bit in an arsenal side which do struggle with strikers over recent years.

Do they struggle with strikers?

They’ve been playing Merino and Havertz up top, neither of them strikers. Jesus is permacrocked.

Their fans have been begging for them to sign a proper 9 for ages now, I think Vik could do very well there.

Not necessarily. Contracts can often be agreed with the representatives of the player first, then the buying club will place a bid.

Oh ok,,so if we believe what we’ve been told in this instance, Arsenal agree terms withe Gyokeres, Arsenal then say they can’t afford the fee, Gyokeres then offers to take £2m less p/y

I don't think it's as linear as that really. There's obviously a lot of dialogue going on between multiple parties and probably a number of options tabled to try to reach some kind of solution.

I think the issue is, there's not a willingness, nor should there really be, from Sporting to drop their valuation to what Arsenal are themselves willing to pay.

A deal will get reached but it's clear there's clearly a growing desperation on Gyokeres' end to get a deal sorted.

Jesus was never the same since the first cross came in for him.

I agree, but Arsenal would have had to have offered Gyokeres specific terms in order for him to offer to accept less do you think that’s likely.

Vik forfeiting some cash might be bonuses due from Sporting, leaving them happy to take a slightly lower fee.
