Signed for supposedly 2m in Jan 2024…. What’s he worth now ? He’s been a very good signing

Must be at least £5m, probably more. I've always liked the look of him but this season he's gone up a rung or two.

An incredible pick up and his value is going up constantly. He's worth over £10 million now, i think that keeps going up honestly.

Just a fantastic signing from Austin and the team, and a real sign of what good coaching can do to a player. He is worth eight figures comfortably at this stage but we’re obviously not selling anyone before next summer at the earliest.

Torp himself deserves a lot of credit for adapting to a new country and league so quickly. Didn’t really take much time to settle at all.

I think this is one of the cases where Robins weren't entirely sure what kind of player he was. I listened to an interview with Lampard, where he asked Torp where he played, and he was saying he's like a number 8/10 - and Lampard pretty much told him he wasn't, and that he'd be a no 6.

Different managers see different attributes, and in the case of Torp, its been Lampard's values that have seen Torp's incredible development.

What? He plays number 8 and 10 for us?

He's 26, so won't get the 'potential' premium. Realistic value between 5-8 but considering his current form and importance, I wouldn't want him going for anything less than stupid money.

I'm just saying what Lampard said. His starting position is alongside Grimes. Grimes usually starts our attacking phase in between the Centre halves.

Style of play and eye for goal not dissimilar to Frank's in his playing days actually

If we sell him to Wrexham we could get £42 million for him.

Yeh they play him.
He’s always shown quality. But Robins had it in his head that Torp could only play for 60 minutes!

An excellent player, grimes and Rudoni perfect for him (as is BTA). We have an absolutely quality midfield

I’m glad you’re not in charge of negotiating transfer fees!

We won’t sell him because he’s too important to the team. In any case, you’d be stupid to sell for anything less that £10-15m for him.

The underlying data from last season suggested that Torp could be a top performing CM.

I'll admit I had real doubts about him. Wasn't sure he was up to the pace of the Championship. He's done superbly well this season. Delighted to be proved wrong.

So am I!

Exactly, right now, I wouldn't sell him for anything less than a Championship record. He's vital, is in the top 5 performing players in the league and one of the top scorers.

Taking my Sky Blue tinted glasses off. Realistically, is anyone going to spent 15mil on a 26 year old with 3 months of unbelievable form? No. End of the season and he's continued this form, 8 figures.

Fair play to Torp. He was getting pelters for various things. Ability to last matches, lack of physicality, lack of pace, inconsistency and injury record.

He only had a proper pre season in the summer just gone and FL has found his best position. He’s adapted to the physical aspects of the Champ now. Injury record is a bit suspect but could also be bad luck. Pace wise, he looks ok to me and not many CMs are particularly quick anyway.

Then there’s the technique, eye for a pass, 2 great feet, good in the air and the goals as well. Mint player. You don’t see big fees for CMs at his age in the Champ but if he keeps the numbers up, who knows. Don’t want us to sell him though.

A free kick within 25 yards is basically a penalty for him too.

We forget that he joined us mid way through his own domestic season which was our pre season. Was called out for being lightweight as a result. Hes the technician we have needed since Hamer went. International call up beckons if he maintains his form

Yeah joined us in January as the Sheffield Wednesday rocket was one of his very early games in the FA Cup which doesn't start for our level until January

He’s a strange one for me.

He’s sort of always quietly effective without ever looking special and then pops up with a big moment out of nowhere.

Has to be worth a lot in todays market now though.
