I look at Torps performance yesterday as pre cursor as to what he could do against better sides. His play yesterday helped dictate some of our forward passes, directness & getting in front foot with his turns away from opponents - much like he did vs Sunderland last season. Here’s hoping he continues in this form throughout the season and builds on the development under Lampard.

The trio of Torp, Grimes, Rudoni feels much more balanced this season - one big refreshing difference is the if you don’t shoot you don’t score methodology seemingly being installed in the midfield and throughout the team.

Brilliant performance all round yesterday, yet I’m not getting carried away as it’s long old season.

Either way the futures bright the futures Sky Blue 🐘⚽️

Very tough ask for Sheaf to get his place back if this midfield stay fit.
The worrying thing about Sheaf is that his contract expires next summer, and without game time he will move on a free transfer.
(He could still go on a free even with game time)
He would be a loss to the squad, as hes still a good player (when hes fit)

I guess he'll be offered an extension at some point but maybe it is time for him to move on for his own career. He'll certainly cost good money to replace.

Hes turning out be be a terrific footballer for us

I think he’s great. I do want to see him get on the ball even more though.

Out of the first 11, he’s the one you want to be shooting from basically any distance. Just seems so naturally composed.

Watch where he picks up the pass from kitching for the 1st, in middle of 4 QPR players then lays in to Milan - outstanding awareness and picking pockets, we need to be braver to find him.

last 2 games have been the standard for him, such a technically gifted footballer. And he’s started doing the horrible stuff more which is pleasing.

What a signing he’s turned out to be, we need to see sheaf back to his best to stand any chance of getting in the midfield currently.
