Poland has shot down numerous drones in their airspace and a few airports shut.
Appeasement of Putin just emboldens him.

Surely this legitimises NATO, or at least western Europe (Trump obviously being Putin's poodle) providing a more effective air deterrence across Ukraine?

In effect, creating a no fly zone over everything east of the front lines could now be justified as self defence for Poland, and would also give the civilian population of Ukraine respite from endless attacks.

If every now and then something accidentally slipped over the front line and destroyed a Russian position on Ukrainian soil, well, like Putin will claim, mistakes happen.

Wonder what @SkyBlueDom26 thinks about the Putin drones penetrating Polish airspace ?
Surely time for NATO seek a no fly zone over Ukraine?

Intrigued to see how the man who says 'the war would never have started under my watch' tries to explain Russia escalating and attacking another country.

So much for the theory that Putin would be happy with Ukraine and was no danger to anywhere else

Still probably preferable that we don't get to the point where we have to find out if that is true.

If Russia went in with everything it had Poland would need NATO’s help. As Ukraine does currently

Pre 2022 yes definitely, but if Russia tried to invade Poland now (whilst still in Ukraine) they'd get kicked out pretty quickly I think.

They couldn't do both at the same time. They would end up losing on both fronts.

I assume it’s because they’re expecting a deal with Ukraine soon so they’re testing the waters with some war mongering next door.

It’s escalating beyond Ukraine:

Russia's 'greyzone' invasion plan to start WW3 before Xmas revealed by defector

EXCLUSIVE: The warning from a top Russian general has triggered urgent discussions in the UK and US about the risk of a deniable strike aimed at fracturing NATO.

I wonder if he does indeed attack some NATO member states that certain people on here will still argue that he was 'provoked' into doing it.

Butr if Russia was a non nuclear state it's highly unlikely they'd have invaded anyway.

Although I am sure this comment is going to be about as popular as - I dunno an LGBT activist visiting a mosque - the stability of the world was actually better pre Gorbachov in the Cold War days - there was a lot of sabre rattling but both ideologies in the end tolerated each other.

The world also came on the verge of nuclear war more than once and there were proxy wars all over the place.
