Looks like Russia will finally capture Adiivka soon, after trying for 2 years and losing an astonishing 30,000 men and 200 tanks.

It's an important strategic target and Russia will claim it as a tremendous victory. But the numbers they've lost are staggering.

They wouldn't have taken it if the US hadn't paused supplies. The orange idiot has an awful lot to answer for.

The mental gymnastics that the lunatic far-right have to undergo nowadays must be exhausting.

Before Trump, anyone vaguely left-wing was accused by the right of being pro-Russia and anti-democracy.

Now, the mad fuckers, having tried to overturn a legitimate election in the US, are aligning directly with a leader who's stated aim is to overthrow another sovereign democracy and put the Russian (Soviet) empire back together. Amazing.

I'm sure I'll see some clips floating about.

It's not rocket science as to how he's managed to get an interview, so why would I want to watch Russian propaganda?

It's nuts isn't it. All because Trump is balls deep in Putin's pocket.

The Russians were the enemy. These people's fathers despised the Russians now they are in bed with them.

If Trump came out tomorrow and said he's now backing Ukraine, you can bet all these MAGA dickheads would suddenly denounce Putin.

Thousands of innocent Ukrainian people will die because of that orange idiot.

The world will be a better place when croaks it. Odious wanker.

Well the US election will be interesting - the republicans will make political capital out of this;

The findings into Joe Biden's handling of classified files reignite debate over his age and competency.

It is amazing how poor the quality is of most world leaders. Yet it remains true that this guy is substantially better and safer for the world than the option that the American population will be given.

There’s poor and downright unfit for office - which both trump and Biden are.

Seems like the much hyped Carlson interview with Putin was a big flop.

Mostly just Putin rambling on about the Roman Empire and Russian history by all accounts. Nothing controversial came out of it like he was hoping, it seems he sat there in silence while Putin just droned on.

The report talks about him willfully retaining and disclosing classified information over a period of 40 years. However not going to prosecute basically because he's a doddery old man. Clearly unfit for office.

That report together with the Supreme Court's humiliating reaction to Colorado Dems attempt to remove Trump from the ballot makes it a bad day all round for old Joe.

I saw that yesterday Biden referred to the Egyptian president as the president of Mexico.

Republicans lost their shit over it. Senile Joe.

Then literally an hour later Trump referred to the Hungarian PM as the president of Turkey.

Pretty sure Trump also claimed to have been president in 2021 relatively recently as well. In an ideal world neither of them would be running but Biden is far more preferable to Trump; that’s not even considering his attacks on democracy as well.

Most of America probably doesn't care or even realise the gaffe tbh. They'd see Hungary as something you'd solve with Turkey.

Mongolia's former president mocks Putin with a map showing how big the Mongol empire used to be, and how small Russia was

The former leader of Mongolia Tsakhia Elbegdorj wrote: "After Putin's talk. I found Mongolian historic map. Don't worry. We are a peaceful and free nation."

It’s effectively a stalemate though; the ex head of the armed forces dared to say the same and got fired.

There have been various articles recently, including in the Guardian, about Ukraine struggling to recruit soldiers for the frontline. At this point, the only way Ukraine is going to be able to win is with the help of western forces joining the conflict, which isn’t going to happen.

No idea when it’ll end but Putin isn’t going to back down and reports of him being about to die were obviously wide of the mark. Regardless of whether Trump gets in or not, funding from the USA isn’t going to last much longer at this rate.

The US funding stuff is ongoing at the moment, should find out in the next day or so whether it passes. Despite the best efforts of the Republicans doing everything they can to aid Putin because Donny says so.

The point I was making about Musk though is these people (intentionally of course) miss out the one thing that will bring the war to an end the quickest way possible when coming up with their solutions for ending it.

The only way to settle it is for an agreement to be brokered

It’s also nothing to do with Putin as to why the US are becoming sceptical about continuing to prop up the Ukrainians

It’s a recognition there are bigger priorities that will need focusing on.

You live in a land of self delusion - this is a conflict of no relevance or global significance and we should have left it well alone.
