Waste of newspaper space, I want to see dancing dogs and angry looking locals pointing at pot holes.

If they're not looking to takeover isn't this essentially asking the fans to give SISU £3m? It's all well and good saying they'll give you a season ticket but isn't that then shooting ourselves in the foot. If everyone paid £100 for a season ticket we're going to have big crowds and no money!

I actually read it as essentially asking the fans to give ACL £3m.
The idea is to pay rent at the Ricoh.

I actually read it as essentially this bloke has no idea about the situation whatsoever & just wants to promote his business, which apparently, a bloke down the pub recently told him was worth £10m....

...The only way this could be any more of a farcical non-starter is if Richard Keys starts tweeting about him as the new messiah...

Simon Gilbert must be the bloke who actually replies to those Nigerian scam emails with his bank details ready.

Well I guess you could look at it that way but SISU own the club and should be paying rent for wherever we play. If this chap pays ACL direct or SISU it doesn't make much difference it will be £3m that SISU no longer need to provide.

Doesn't really matter, it's a (non) Kickstarter.

That's where the promise of 3 million quid came from. We just need to send them some first

This is the one boys. We are about to hit the big time. I'm shaking with excitement. Truly a wonderful moment to be a Coventry City fan.

Is this another loony from the lot last week? It just seems a bizarre business plan, he is clearly not interested in the club outright more to get CCFC back to the Ricoh (at our expense...). In the end what asset would that company own, nothing surely???

I've just legged it out of work to get in the queue at the Ricoh for my season ticket. Fancy a pint in the casino after? Shouldn't take longer than 5 hours if they have 3 people on the tills.

Some hope is better than no hope.

It is more believable than so called bids in the past. Has said not interested in buying club as not interested in the debt. Something like this is needed to stop the stalemate. SISU would be able to bring our club home and save face. Maybe the sort of thing that they have been hoping for. But nothing will happen until after the JR. They will still have hopes of the freehold on their terms. But if it don't happen as most of us expect they will need to do something. And how could they turn down a cheap offer from CCC whilst trying to keep us on their side? They have started to try and get us on their side for the first time since taking our club over.

Everyone knows that building a small cheap stadium outside Coventry will be a disaster. Can they even raise the funds for such a thing?

I believe his plan is based around the principal of getting the club back into the Ricoh with the cost of doing so paid by his investors. (Lets say 10 years at £250,000 all in) 2.5m
Any money not used for that specific aim gets drip fed into the club for other activities like funding the academy. (Lets say 10 years at £50,000) .5m
The season ticket for £100 is on offer to anyone who has "invested" at a value which will be greater than a cost of a season ticket. (Lets say minimum of a £1000)
How do you get a return on your investment, well I presume its linked to the development of the Arena site.

Its not a totally crazy idea but no way will SISU go for it as it doesnt support their plans. (Expect the usual line about revenue streams blah blah blah)

Gareth Barry is out of contract in the summer. Not the quickest midfielder but if we gather some momentum surely he has to sign for us.

Thats the million dollar question isnt it, but we are not going to find out until a few weeks after the JR. I think the fact that we have had so many failed, ficticious bids is why everyone of them is taken like this.

Regardless of whether it's a viable/legal/trustworthy scheme, the club would never go for this.

It's their way or the highway (hopefully)....

SISU won't leave our club without a massive payoff whilst leaving our club as a going concern. And does anyone think they will carry on losing millions each year whilst keeping us in Northampton if it becomes clear to them that owning the Ricoh's freehold on the cheap is a pipe dream. And who honestly believes a stadium will be built?

I'm trying to work out how this stacks up. He gets £3m, but he doesn't want to buy the club?

So, you use some of that £3m to pay rent at the Ricoh, let's say £200k per season for a couple of years, what happens to the remaining £2.5m. If you're not buying SISU out, then are you asking for a stake in Otium? Or are you just giving the rest of the money to the club? Hmmm.

In all honesty, if the JR doesn't go SISU's way then I think you might well be able to buy out what's left of the club for a few million in cash, possibly much less.

In fact, even if the JR does go SISU's way it's still hard to see how they get their hands on ACL or the Ricoh, so either way something will have to give in the next year or so I'd guess. I doubt this particular plan has legs though, unless I'm missing something.

Do you honestly think that SISU will walk away from the money they have put into our club though? ATM they will count it as an investment....a very poor one at that.....but walking away cements it as a loss. Can't see it happening myself.

Well there's hirsute and hair suit. Seriously though while you could say this bloke is trying, I doubt anything will come out of this. Sisu seem intent on NOPM towards ACL.

It may be a dodgy looking offer he has made, but our clubs owners haven't made an offer still that we know of.

Sooner or later I think they have to. It's that or just continue to throw good money after bad. If they can't get their way with the Ricoh, then given the corner they've painted themselves into there's no way I can see them ever turning CCFC into a club that makes a profit. Eventually that means that they have to pull the plug, I think.

The website for crowdboarders is terrible and doesn't seem to actually have anyone signed up to it. Seems like it's a new business, what are the odds he saw the story about indiegogo last week and saw the chance for some publicity.
