Didn't Wasps get given a chunk of taxpayer money to refurb the underground bit? Seem to recall they claimed they needed it doing for the Commonwealth games despite there being no plans to use anything down there for the Commonwealth Games.

Although there's every change someone pocketed the money and / or used it for something else and nobody bothered to check as they seemed to be allowed to do whatever they wanted.

I remember they got a load of money to build the new porch and maybe the big screen was for the games too? Our porch and our screen now, bitches!!!

Whilst we’re talking about under… the new shop is going upstairs, into sizeable area too. From what I’ve seen/heard there’s going to be a new bar, golf simulator room, football simulator. Sounds promising and another improvement on what we have!

Whereabouts is the new bar going? Next to the away fans entrance?

I have never seen it open since I turned 18 and have been able to go but am I right in saying there is a bar/nightclub within The Casino that they just never use anymore?

Yeah down the other end there was a sports bar that was sort of seperate like the bar on the right is. Now it's more of an open plan thing.

I’m lead to believe it’ll be in the upstairs space… it’s big old space up there faces out onto shop/players car park and A444.

Would be good to get some more bars open on match day. Try and get as many people as possible spending money in the arena as they can.

An away bar by their turnstiles would be good.

Yes. The true size of the casino is massive. It could just never be fully used.

There is a massive poker event called Goliath which I think is the biggest event of its type in Europe that takes part there for a week to 10 days at the end of July, where they open up the extra Casino space well beyond what you will see on a match day.

Doug must have had an interesting walk around when he bought the Arena or was in the process of. Opening all the doors and finding out what was behind them. It’s surely got masses of potential. If the new shop is near a bar and coffee shop, I’d go up on non match days. Don’t currently do that apart from a Christmas shopping trip

Just saw something on social media about there being loads of things underground other than the casino.

What else is there? I know there is the big hall there things are and the offices but didn't realise there was more underneath.

Apparently a Leicester City scarf! Buried, deep underground. Same place their club will be within the next 3 seasons!

I was going to mention this. A Lestah fan, involved with the stadium construction, boasted about burying a Lestah scarf somewhere in the centre of the playing area before the first pitch was laid. Bastard......

Yeah that Sports bar you mentioned down the other end of the Casino is still there but they never use it during match days.
