David Bell is a good player technically BUT is totally ineffective. He is, what I would call, a luxury player and we simply cannot afford such a player in our current position.

Didn't we same the same about Freddie Eastwood? Good player technically, but a let down on the pitch in game time.

At least he will be an option from the bench if say we wish to inject a bit of pace into the game.

Bell is one of those players who drives you mental by bottling every challenge he goes into and not working hard enough for the team

On a more positive note he does have the ability to deliver a better cross than anyone else in our squad and when he's actually fit (basically never) he can be a very effective player

Bell does have a very good understanding with Keogh....either way, it good to have him fit again with our depleted squad

We wouldn't have beaten Boro at home without him.

I like bell to be honest. He's not the quickest but I don't think he's game needs him to be. He is a poor mans beckham... Well, I fucking broke mans Beckham.

Technically very good yes, not so sure about the 'honest' bit though. To me at times he is like a passenger who doesn't want to break sweat or even get his jersey dirty.

Not so sure about the broke man's Beckham either. More like the Brokeback Mountain's Beckham if anything.

Averages 2minutes of brilliance every 90. Still, he scored one of the Greatest Ricoh goals.

Bell is awful and ineffective, just a show pony with rarely any end product.

He's had a few very good games this season, generally as a sub, and they did come mostly just before he got injured. Yeah he's incredibly inconsistent in a squad of inconsistent players, but we need all the bench options we can get. And he does try-he's not physically strong, that isn't his game, but he is no way deserving of being tarred with the same brush as Eastwood.

I think that's harse. There is no suggestion he doesn't work hard in training or not try hard enough. Has done ok in spells and will be missed. Had looked useful when used as a sub in a few games.

Bell's game consists of wandering aimlessly around the pitch mostly playing 2 yard passes sideways or backwards, throw in the occasional cross or shot and that is Bell's game in a nutshell.
