No way? Not sure how I've missed the hundreds of articles on Gambling and Russian cash respectively financing these clubs. They had owners pumping much more money into the clubs than King will ever do.
Luton was very much the exception there. King has always said that the plan is to aim for the play-offs and try to go up that way - it's reflective of where we are as a club.No way? Not sure how I've missed the hundreds of articles on Gambling and Russian cash respectively financing these clubs.
I must've also missed Luton going from non-league to the Prem on a fucking shoestring and we should therefore always be happy with `how far we've come'
I'm done with your pavlovian response to anything slightly critical of recent perfomances tbh mate.Frankly ridiculous comparison. Why? Cash. We are loss making. We’ve just bought the stadium. There’s no way King can give the amount of cash to Lampard that the owners of the two teams you mention can.
Tbf Bradford relegated same season as us, Barnsley also have not been there more recently.I'm done with your pavlovian response to anything slightly critical of recent perfomances tbh mate.
Barnsley, Blackpool, Bradford, Luton and others have all had their day in the sun we were last there - please tell me more about the fucking Oil money behind them?
I get all fans are insular to some extent and focus on only their clubs but we're not the only ones to have faced struggles and got back to the top table.
And after 35+ years following City I'm getting very very tired of the insinuations on here that a `real fan' wouldn't point out out what a blind man can see is going on on the pitch right now
Fair do's. Huddersfield, Charlton, Bolton are others who've all made it since us without wiping their arse on £50 notes in the process.Tbf Bradford relegated same season as us, Barnsley also have not been there more recently.
It is harder now in fairness, thats why you have to take you chance when the opportunity presents itself. We still might of course but we're making bloody hard work of itFair do's. Huddersfield, Charlton, Bolton are others who've all made it since us without wiping their arse on £50 notes in the process.
What?Barnsley, Blackpool, Bradford, Luton and others have all had their day in the sun we were last there - please tell me more about the fucking Oil money behind them?
Have you read the posts since then or just looking for a cheap gotcha? Have edited just for youWhat?
Why would I be looking for a 'gotcha'? You're just rewriting history at this point to back up whatever narrative you're coming out with.Have you read the posts since then or just looking for a gotcha?
Fair enough you're right- Huddersfield, Blackpool, Bolton, Charlton, Luton all didn't get into the Prem with limited resources. Why would I be looking for a 'gotcha'? You're just rewriting history at this point to back up whatever narrative you're coming out with.
Some of these clubs haven't been in the PL for 10-15 years; it's very different now.Fair enough you're right- Huddersfield, Blackpool, Bolton, Charlton, Luton all didn't get into the Prem with limited resources.
I'm tapping out mate. I pray we don't blow it.Some of these clubs haven't been in the PL for 10-15 years; it's very different now.
I'm frustrated as well, no harm done.I'm tapping out mate. I pray we don't blow it.
The idea I have the time or inclination to promote a `narrative' is an insult tbh.
I'm gutted what's happening on the pitch and fed up with hearing our unbelievable progress since '18 used as mitigation that's all.
I’ve never mentioned desserts.I'm done with your pavlovian response to anything slightly critical of recent perfomances tbh mate.

'2nd in the league you're avin a laff'Interested to hear which chants Boro use to take the piss on the 16th
'13 points, fucked it up, 13 points and you fucked it up' is surely being oven baked as we speak.
what the fuck are you actually talking about, we got two premier league players and minnie, and a winger that was probably already on the cardsAll comes from the top, needed to spend money in Jan and our owner spends it on some random winger who plays in a league nobody’s heard of. Oh but he keeps releasing more kits and stuff, guys a fucking disgrace but loves taking our money mind.
Why does he keep getting a free pass? He’s shown 0 ambition and ruined our season
He was one of the only players who looked like producing anything, with one really good shot tooI think the biggest insult is Esse doing all his fucking shit tricks and showboating when we’re at the lowest point of the season. Fucking wanker
Upset people tend to say unttue thingsHe was one of the only players who looked like producing anything, with one really good shot too
I thought Sakamoto played significantly better than Esse yesterday and I didn’t think Esse performed as well as Mason Clark would if he was availableHe was one of the only players who looked like producing anything, with one really good shot too
We got control of the game, good. But then we failed to move the ball forward with any consistent sense of pace and purpose. We looked scared of making a forward pass at times. What was with those little lifted passes in lot the box the first half?. If someone was supposed to be there for them they must have nipped to the loo in that part of the game plan meeting. Trying to comfort myself with the clean sheet….
How could Wright get a hat trick without at least hitting the target?Look at the stats you prat. On another day wright gets a hat trick. 75-% possession, 24 shots, 10 corners, keeper makes 3 crazy saves that normally go in. It was the most one sided game I’ve seen in years. Everyone is gutted we didn’t win but you can’t make out we didn’t play well or were not the better team.
We've been chasing the last 3 games and failed the testSaid on the match thread if you can’t win that game then you’ve no business being in the Top 2 and I stand by that - Middlesbrough and Ipswich win that game 2 or 3 zip, red card or no red card
We are a club and squad that are a good chasing side, as has been proven the last few seasons but as pace setters we have proven we’ve not got the mettle
We have almost always given helping hands to all teams that are strugglingYes that Newcastle game was rank.
We still had a very good season although ultimately failed on qualifying for Europe.
Its more the disappointment of it more than moaning, well in most cases, its how we have gone from a commanding position, dominating play into how absolutely poor we are at the minute but we all have opinionsYou are completely missing the point. Of course we’re not meant to be happy about our dip in form. But equally we shouldn’t be wailing and moaning about it to the extent we are.
The worry for me is in conjunction with results tailing off, the style of play has as well - I can accept bad results are going to happen but it is hard to believe we are watching the same group of players we were watching between August and NovemberYou are completely missing the point. Isn't this in part because every team has the same plan - sit deep, and try to hit us on the break! It's working at the moment unfortunately, perhaps because for whatever reason we fired on all fronts until December and since then we've been poor on all fronts... If EITHER the fronts OR the backs got their act togethor we'd have won most of these games. The worry for me is in conjunction with results tailing off, the style of play has as well - I can accept bad results are going to happen but it is hard to believe we are watching the same group of players we were watching between August and November
Last year we were watching some of the most exciting, entertaining football I have ever seen us play and we have turned into a really insipid, dull watch since the turn of the new year
