I'm a Huddersfield fan living in Coventry, off work this week, and going up to the reserves fixture tomorrow afternoon. I was wondering what, if any, parking restrictions are in place at the shopping centre car park. Not a regular visitor to Tesco etc on that side of Town so wondered if there was a time limit on parking or could you park for as long as you liked so long as you made a purchase from Tesco/Next et al?

There won't be any restrictions tomorrow mate, think they allow free parking at the arena for U21 games though

Cheers Johnny, Arena parking is that the car park right up by the ground?

Right by all the shops, adjacent to the stadium. Just park somewhere by Decathlon and you'll have a 2 min walk up.

The car park for actual arena is opposite the stadium.

Cheers for that Otis. Hope you fellas can make a better "fist" of it next season, be really good to watch MY team in my adopted home of 30 years. Not played each other in a league fixture since '71/'72 . . . far too long

For some reason I always kept an eye on that! I think your lot got relegated the same year we did (2001) and then you were promoted the year we got relegated! We really just don't want to play you!

Your right mate, and the biggest regret for me is that I lived on Nicholls Street the year City were relegated from the top flight, and we were relegated on the final day of the same season by a set of fluke results ( F*****g Trevor Francis). I Would have been home before Midlands Today even started:)

Free entry and free parking:

The game kicks off at 2:00pm and entry is free for supporters looking to attend, with entry to the ground open via the main atrium. Gates open at 1pm.
Parking will also be available without charge at Car Park A.

Heading up there myself now. Sure it was Huddersfield a few weeks ago that was called off.

I wish I wasn't working. I used to love going to the old Central League games at HR.

At this stage of the season are triallists going to be players who have managed to go all season without getting a club (not a good sign I would have thought) or are we getting an early look at players who will be released at the end of this season?

I know the youth team players we are releasing are permitted to go out on trial now so we might be looking t some youngsters that are becoming available. Think we picked up Willis after he was released from Birmingham.

All three trialists looked reasonable. A lot of scouts there watching Maddison and Harries. Arsenal had two, Stoke had one and several other PL clubs too.

To be fair, I'm sure Mowbray said that he would regularly bring in trialists to boost the U21's squad so he doesn't have to play too many kids.

I don't work, but have to pick my daughter up from school, so couldn't have gone. Would have loved to though. Used to love the old reserve games and youth matches.

I did too. I think my first was Huddersfield at HR. We were discussing yesterday that it's a shame we can't screen them live like QPR do or at least load the whole game up to Youtube. That way when a youngster breaks into the first team more of the fans are already accustomed to watching him and have seen what he can do and thus give him more slack when he makes mistakes. For example there were a few noticeable groans and moans when Thomas lost the ball in the middle of the park on Saturday.

Yep lots of Interest In the boy
Unless someone fronts up and commits fresh equity for the coming season he's likely to be off
Someone from within the set up mentioned a very big Club were having a sniff In January
Hopefully the Club can rein him In and prevent him from hopping at the first opportunity but that wil. require funding to be Injected for the coming seaon
