Agreed, based on some of the comments on here I think some have slightly over rated him. When I have seen him live about a dozen times on tv he seems to operate in bursts of energy. IF he is reasonable wage wise amd Lampard thinks he will be a positive player to have around he will complement what we have in Saka and improve the squad as an overall.
With 5 subs these days the game is more about 16 players than 11 and hhe definitely improves our 16.

He’s an improving player that statistically, had a much stronger season than Sakamoto in 24/25.

Frankly, Sakamoto is a good player, but we need something more in that RW role. Even EMC needs to improve his production too but his underlying numbers suggested he could hit close to 10:10 goals and assists.

Saka’s best attributes is his defensive work and even Dolan had stronger tackling, interceptions, recoveries and 1/2 things.

I think we need a really good rotation option, but I do agree I think Dolan will end up starting.

Sakamotos crossing contributed to many goals in the run in so I think it’s a tad harsh.

against Sunderland he was superb and has been very good at times, but at other tines throughout the season I agree we needed to switch it up and rotate without losing quality when he’s not doing it

why Dolan is a great option

More than one player per position, who you're actually happy to start outright, is what we should be aiming for and we'd have it out on the right if he signed.

Think so.
Definitely last season and sounded like possible mental health issues (I could be wrong!!)
Something along the lines of thanking him for believing in him when he was at a low point... Or something like that.....

I was reading about how one of his best mates commited suicide who he'd come up through academy football with - might have something to do with it
He's an ambassador for mental health too I think at Blackburn so seems to have good off the pitch qualities too

Absolutely. He’d have games where his crossing is great but generally, Saka does not top charts in neither dribbling or chance creation.

In my view, he’d make a top end role player for us.

I have it on good authority that when his contract shortly expires at Blackburn Rovers, his chosen destination is us

Hijacked from Derby County

Lampard is cooking something spicy
Our ITK says he’s coming to us so who know? ⚽️🦊

Then again until Danny Rohl comes in we’re not getting anyone.

15 in Scrabble. Not too shabby though if you manage a double or triple word score.
There's a question, which of our squads surnames has the highest score in scrabble? I'm guessing Van Ewijk?

Ogrizovic would have been decent. In fact anything with Q or Z so probably Zuniga, Quirke etc too, just depends where you play them, if it's all your letters and if you can get combined words or specific letters on the double/treble :)

ZERO POINTS... Where's the rule book??? You can't have 2 words in Scrabble!!!
I mean if we are being that strict then proper nouns aren't allowed either which makes this game futile :ROFLMAO:

No it makes the game better. You could have Wood for example.

Glazier I reckon
Former players offers a lot more options then, but that's a good shout for the best allowed (17). Quirk (18) would have beaten it if it wasn't spelt Quirke!
