I think it’s also worth pointing out that we’re not ground sharing a shit hole ground - St Andrews is a championship ground and
I’d hazard a guess more appealing to play at than Lincoln

99% of players only care about wages, I'm pretty sure atmosphere is much lower than that and work place.

If atmosphere came into it, Wilfried Zaha wouldn’t want to leave palace for Arsenal

Has 'tinpot' been used? It's not a thread about another team until someone says tinpot.

I'd back them as well, got great momentum and made some decent signings.

I can't see us finishing as high as last season at the moment

I thought we over achieved a bit last season. I would be happy top twelve. A shout at play offs would be nice but not a disaster if we dont. This year might be about consolidation.

Yep, and I know I keep banging on about it but we haven't as far as I'm concerned improved the squad, we've probably made it no worse but I don't really see it as being any better.

Didn't come on vs Sociedad either. I'd have thought he'd be in the squad tonight for some minutes in his legs having not been used the other day.

The loss of bright is the biggest issue no coincidence we found form when he came personally think the team that finished last season is slightly stronger than what we have at the moment, could change though before season starts.

Its very much about Hiwula stepping up, along with Max Biamou and Jodi Jones (both after injury so a gamble) and Bayliss or Shipley coming good. A lot of ifs and buts.

Allen and Kelly are a good solid base for midfield.

A season that is very much in the balance. If your expectation is play offs or automatics you may be very disapointed!

Our best chance is a late Bloom!

Still think 1 or 2 will come in this week I think Bright is still a possibility.

That has to be the way.

There is no guarantee on how well Jodi Jones can perform after 2 injuries like that. Notwithstanding we're playing at a higher level than the last time he had any game time. We can't put too much expectation on him having the impact he did before.

He played for us in league one last season, or do mean when he had a decent amount of game time?

It depends.

In my view, we missed wingers who could get assists. So Jobello and Kastaneer are key this season. The former looks like a player who puts the ball in dangerous areas and that could be key. We missed that last season, imo. As for Kastaneer, he’s someone who needs to get goals and give us impetus going forward. He’s done well in preseason... If these wingers turn out to be good, I’m hopeful.

I’m happy replacing Willis with McFadzean, he brings experience and leadership to an inexperienced team. Personally, I think he’d have started even if Willis stayed (not ahead of Willis).

Allen could be big signing, scored 8 goals last season and he’s set his target for 10 this season. We missed goals from midfield last season so I’m glad this has been addressed.

For me, the biggest question mark is whether or not Hiwula can play as a striker in a 4-3-3. If he can, we’ve got a potentially potent team.

The team needs finishing touches, so I don’t disagree with you. Best case scenario, we can sign Bright and Walker. I’d say we’ve definitely improved the squad. Worst case, and we fail to sign either. Then I’m not as optimistic as I was earlier in the pre-season.

I was thinking about his form when he was getting decent amount of playing time the season before last, before his first injury.

Bunch of Debbie downers. Let’s see where we are when the window closes. Even if we don’t get Bright and Walker, I Trust in Robins to get the most out of this team and give us a decent season.

I'm happy with the recruitment this year, Jobello looks a find and I'm hopeful he can fill Thomas's void.

Mcfadzen, Pask and Rose for Willis and Davies. Adding Allen looks like a good move.

Burge and O'brien had to go. I saw enough at Swindon to say Marosi is at least competent so that's good enough for me

Need one or two more attackers. We all want Bright and Walker but I'm sure Robins has a plan B

But none are here yet. Optimism about players in ths squad is one thing and then on transfer rumours is another.
