The betting odds will be interesting on this. I have us down as favourites.

Add the assumed home advantage of '80' here to CIty's total, and it does tip the balance in our favour.

However, it takes a madman to predict sports results.

Think it may all still be a little bit too early to predict, but in all likelihood it's going to be one hell of a competitive match.

Just checked the oddchecker website. I wouldn't say Rotherham are as far out as that. They are losing ground though on where they were.

Maybe they are factoring in current form (8 or so games).

I don’t need to predict the refereeing performance will be a shocker and to cap it off everyone of the Rotherham team and coaching staff carry the referee off the pitch on their shoulders at full time (and half time) and he gives it each of there team high fives and hugs after a….

-1-0 city defeat
- 5 Coventry bookings to Rotherham’s 0
- three penalties turned down as the ref was unsighted.

- Ball in play due to time wasting for a cool 15 mins of the 90 minutes due to…

- 30 minutes to take four throw ins
and…
- one minute of time added on to cover 30mins to take three goal kicks from their keeper.
15 mins in total to get their five substituted players off the pitch

Well they have my 50 quid from the original fixture. Expecting a statue next time I’m back for saving the club during their cash flow issues

No never!
Might go for a 0-0 draw if pushed, but hey 2-0 City.

If we flood the midfield and push those balls through the gaps, we'll hopefully catch Wood and co out.

I expect Kane to replace Dabo as he looked knackered on Saturday and sheaf to replace Eccles and stay with the 6 man midfield.

I'd bring in Waghorn to start this game. We should get the majority of possession so we need someone to get closer in support of Gyokeres than we had against Stoke.

I'm not sure possession is our game anymore based on viewings to date - although maybe influenced by not having O'hare etc. I think it will be a scrappy one tomorrow. Agree though with Waghorn!

Even with O'Hare in the side we're not a possession team, a bit part of his role is just enabling us to turnover possession high up the pitch

I can see we’re all being cautious with our predictions.

Reckless abandon here we go…3-1 City. We can, and should, slip past Rotherham.

Not sure how Rotherham have had a reasonable start they have? Watching some of their highlights, they look bang average at best. But we know they will park the bus so O'Hare coming on second half might be the difference. However Vik I think will give them nightmares in this one. Just hope we turn up and do not start getting complacent. Do that and we win our 4th in a row. Be very frustrating if we draw or even lose. Very. hamer must keep his head. We should have too much for them.

I went with a 5-0 earlier on as a joke, but I have a gut feeling we will tear them a new one and think it will be 5-0 city

Just lately we have been parking the bus to considerably good effect. Could we see two teams parking the bus...That will make for an enjoyable evening (not). Has 0-0 written all over it

We have a much stronger midfield potentially now, so we should be able to play more progressive football.

I think if we score an early goal in the first 20 minutes it will be a comfortable game. They'll have to chase the game and leaving Richard Wood exposed (ooh errr!) to Gyokeres is not going to end well for them.

This is the classic after the Lord Mayor’s show fixture, on form odds on we win but we have plenty of history of slipping up in these types of games, early goal we’ll win and win well imo, but the longer it stays 0-0 the more twitchy my arse will become.

5-0 Eccles hat trick. Moore brought on for 2 last minute goals. One header just outside the six yard box and one 25 yard volley.

I find it very difficult to believe that any bookie wouldn’t factor in current form, when formulating the odds offered on both teams, in fact, wouldn’t current form be the best indicator of a teams likely performance.
unless I’ve misunderstood what you’re saying.

I guess it all comes down to accuracy in the ratings.

Amusingly, I have a few years of data on this to see if the favoured team actually comes out on top when betting odds are applied. Would be interested to see the win/draw/loss percentage of the favoured/unfavoured teams when betting odds are applied, and if the odds/win draw loss % have more stability as the season progresses.

Everyone will be turning their house upside down trying to look for the original tickets back in August! With it being school holidays too, tickets bought for kids will rarely be returned so I'm hoping for a very healthy attendance. Hope says 20k based on the above but less will attend due to being on holiday, etc. mild weather today too.
Keep possession 1st half, tire them as much as possible and then bring on OHare and before adventurous from the 55min mark to get a 2 nil win!! PUSB

I see it as reminding them they need to be positive and treat it like a tough game
