Good to see they are experts in stadiums and costs now?

Do they still not realise they are just a PR pawn?

Claims about potential cost of a new stadium for CCFC

A really strange article about stadium costs.

Maybe that's why they have been so quiet for weeks? The angle they are pushing is a bit too obvious.

Looking around, Brentford are paying 70 million for a new 17500 stadium, so I'd say that figure they've stated is probably a little below reality tbh.

But either way, I'm not a stadium designer / construction manager so couldn't really say what's true or not

Neither are they but what's the random reason behind it?

They are a tiny group of nutters who don't represent the wider fan base. Unfortunately local media use their status as a pwn for trying to influence public opinion.

The trust should represent the fans and stick to that. If you want to gain leverage on the fans behalf to express their collective view with the club you need to be at least neutral in your opinion. Stick to supporters issues rather than getting involved in Polotics.

I suppose at least it gets the conversation going and maybe some more detail will come out. Or am I missing something?

The trust constantly bang on about how there is no way sisu will build a stadium, and I agree with them.
So what is the point of this article?

Putting pressure on all sides?

I await their demand for the council to provide land.

There's a lot of puzzling stuff going on at the minute.
Key to it all is what stalled the talks. General consensus is wasps wanting indemnity against losses from the EC complaint but I think there was/Is more to it

Somehow, despite low expectations, the trust always manage to fall below them. This is the most pointless article I've ever read.

Two accountants and a surveyor, who it appears have so little faith in what they have produced they haven't actually put their names to it, have literally dreamed up a stadium from nowhere and made up some figures. If there ever is a new stadium it could far less or far more even before you consider various funding scenarios.

This is pretty much a perfect definition of a complete waste of time.

At least they've used their expertise to tell us that playing outside of Coventry for five years could lose the club revenue, nobody could ever have worked that out without their expert input.

Then to top it all off "Coventry City and SISU have both been contacted for comment". What response are they expecting?

Its beyond a joke now. Not a word against the council or Wasps but after weeks of silence we get this absolute rubbish.

So a couple of them are accountants eh?

Perhaps they could look into alleged misleading of markets about the state of finances or our beloved landlords...surely that's as relevant to OUR club than a stadium the rightly know isn't going to be built.....

How much money we paid to an company allegedly lying about their financial position would surely be to the benefit of the club?

Without knowing the ins / outs and this will probably be shut down straight away, but I imagine the cost of land in that part of London is significantly higher than the same land in Coventry. You may be talking about just construction costs, so if so, please ignore me.

They've more than likely at least part financed by selli g their old ground.
Is there another club who sold a perfectly good ground but have nothing to show for it?

At a guess they could have a couple of possible motivations;

A reaction to the various comments about the stadium and calling SISUs bluff, are they serious etc

To get people around to the idea that the Ricoh is the only viable option...

I’ve got no problem with the Ricoh being the only viable option - once someone can explain to me the benefits that Wasps are offering as opposed to a new stadium

Wasn't expecting you to popup and speak sense...

People need to think back, remember when Italia was being fed his nonsense "we need to let the club die so wasps can save us", Hoffman appearing at certain times, talks of Hoffman working with Wasps (after he is pictured meeting with them), Duggins talking about if Hoffman owned the club a deal would be done tonight.

It's been obvious for months, they pinned their hopes on the EFL saying it had to be the Ricoh and accounts not being able to be filed thinking SISU would just hand the club over nicely because they had no other option.

As soon as they got the other option (multiple ground share offers) the tide turned and the desperation fired up, the random Twitter accounts, Duggins mumbling away etc.

No but as wasps have banned the club from the stadium in Coventry why is that not the focus of his attention.

The enabling development to fund the stadium includes a residential led development comprising over 900 apartments surrounding the stadium together with the conversion of the existing ground to family housing.

They're able to that as the local council issued compiulsary purchase orders for land around the proposed stadium. Imagine that, a council assisting the local football club.

They haven't said a word about it, last thing was them applauding Wasps wasn't it?

How many years ago did Fisher start banging on about a new stadium? Why have the trust waited until now to do this.

Is it a coincidence that it comes not long after Duggins dropped the council in the shit by admitted the club had enquired about council owned land.

Level of cooperation that must be going is unbelievable isn’t it? Somebody somewhere obviously thinks they’re going to make a nice wedge from obtaining the club on the cheap.
