Even if they elected someone with a brain and a moral compass, they could simply vote in someone like him in another few elections’ time. What this term is showing is that the US doesn’t actually have effective guard rails against a tyrant wannabe dictator.
Impeachment requires two thirds of the Senate. You will not get 15-20 Republicans doing that even if he invaded Western Europe.

If he took Greenland by force, I think it'd be the end of him. No doubt there will be some kind of agreement reached that allows him and his cronies to syphon off profits.
If Vance gets in next, I think he will actually be even more antagonistic towards Europe in general.

Weird timing when the Supreme Court are still reviewing the legitimacy of him applying tariffs…that was before ‘I’ll apply tariffs unless you give me land’…can’t imagine that’ll help his case* !
