The left and right are both wrong on this really, and are just sticking to their stations whilst looking at this with political glasses on. One calls it blatant murder, the other claim the woman was trying to kill the agent. Realistically both are wrong.

The Americans are far too trigger happy and that ICE officer overreacted for certain. He should never of shot her. She was however acting completely erratically and inserted herself into a dangerous situation, when she should have been at home with her kids who are now orphans. Not that I personally think she should have been shot, because in the UK she almost certainly wouldn't have been the case either, but I don't know how anyone can say she didn't behave in a way that put herself and others at risk, because frankly she did.

Anyone that has seen bodycam videos from the US will know that people actually get shot for doing shit like this all the time. The country is fucked in that sense. This however has made the news simply because ICE are involved.
So you say the ICE agent definitely overreacted and should never have shot her.

That's what we commonly call murder.

I think this sort of thing happens in America on practically a daily basis, and if you drive your car in this fashion around law enforcement you can expect to be gambling with your life. I don't agree with it, but I wouldn't be fucking around like that in the US. She played a stupid game and won the prize, unfortunately.

Blaming the victim is a bit of poor form to be honest.

Victim blaming is a bit shit, but straight out of the Trump play book.

Also, just to add to it.

There was a doctor on scene who wanted to attend to the victim to check for a pulse and, if needed, administer care. The ICE goons wouldn't let them.

Fuck those cunts.

A life lost without thought, then that life demeaned and diminished by lies told by government officials, the killer praised by the highest office in the land, an excuse to attack the "LEFT". The World Cup should be played out in front of empty stadiums, America is a shithole.

Hired goon shoots a woman in the face because he and his hired goon mates couldn't deal with a single car in an awkward spot. If you're pedalling the idea from the fascists that she had it coming, just go f*ck yourself. How bad does it have to get?
Unfortunately, for some people, I don’t think it matters how bad it gets. Will it even make any of his supporters have a rethink? I doubt it.

Alternatively you can just say that people shouldn’t shoot other people in the face unless absolutely necessary and be done with it.

Not getting pulled into an argument about it. I think too many of you are blinded by your politics to analyse it properly.

I don't think she deserved to die, and I don't think the guy who shot her had his life in danger anywhere near enough to justify needing to shoot her. I do think however, that this is an extremely common occurrence in the US and if you drive your car like this around law enforcement then you are playing with your life. She was totally stupid to do this, unfortunately. It doesn't make it right whatsoever, but that's how things are over there and it isn't new.

Really, the only reason anyone claims to care is because they are ICE agents and you don't like the way they are cracking down on immigration, so want to use it as an opportunity to further that political argument. Really this has more to do with firearms and lethal force practice in America than anything else. Law enforcement over there kill hundreds of people every year, one third of which had a vehicle as their only 'weapon'. In a lot of cases they are trying to get away and end up getting shot. It's a huge preexisting problem.

Just noting that you were much more upset about people suggesting Charlie Kirk put his life at risk saying inflammatory things in a country full of loose cannons with guns.

I wouldn't have had a problem with it if that was all that was said, but as you well know this is not close to the truth. The fact you are bringing it up says a lot in itself as well.

As I said, you are too blinded by your politics to analyse this properly. It really has little to do with anything other than very aggressive law enforcement practice which sees numerous civilians killed each year, none of which you cared about until you could link it back to Trump.

Folks expect better from a western government than to sanction killing its own citizens when a wannabe soldier can't handle a traffic problem. If you can explain how political differences play a part in that, I'm all ears.

I have explained this. No one on here has given a hoot about this shit behaviour from law enforcement in the US until it suits them from a political angle - in this situation, tactics from ICE. I'm sat here agreeing that it was a completely unnecessary act. I am just pointing out that it is not a new thing, and that it is very dangerous to fuck around with law enforcement over there as they are extremely trigger happy beyond any level in which most Brits would understand.

If I got pulled over in the US, the last thing I would be doing is anything other than turning the engine off and complying. I have mentioned this on here before but I got a gun pulled on me by a police officer in San Diego when I was the one who called them in the first place. Someone was smashing up cars in the car park of the place where I was working.

It is frightening. You don't fuck around over there.

Funnily enough Trump was the one who started these masked goon raids and told them to start snatching people on the street. This woman just wanted to be left alone, she got killed and the person who did it was wearing a mask to escape justice, again probably on instruction from above as what they’re doing is wildly illegal.

He’s only bothered about Minnesota because it’s a chance to harass a former political opponent before he leaves office.

She just wanted to be left alone? Why was she there then?

If people think kicking off about this will somehow relax the immigration raids then I think they're going to be in for a shock. I expect things like this
will become more common as they'll face more anger, which in turn will make them become more paranoid and more trigger happy.

She was told both to get out of the car and to drive away. Masked goons are going into communities where they aren’t wanted, just to cause trouble. They are doing the opposite of what their criminal boss of a president says they’re there for.

In truth this is just a far right federal government harassing parts of the country that don’t agree with it.

Beautiful country USA in my experiences over many visits. Many wonderful states & people.
Went to Miami & Long Island , New York last autumn. Couldn't fault any aspect of what I felt & saw out there. The law & order prescence is notable. Police impeccably turned out & visible in both small towns & cities.

It's the only place that I've seen a heavily pregnant woman passed out in the street with a needle in her arm.

They've been heavily recruiting and it seems the new recruits get only the most basic of training.

If you look at the recruitment ads that have been running they alone would give you cause for concern about the type of person they will be attracting.
