Just shows how flawed his legal challenges and thinking are. It's a conservative SC so it's going to stick to the rule of law and the Constitution. Lateral thinking or "liberal" interpretations are not qualities he was looking for when he appointed them - so that backfired.
But this SC will no doubt disappoint his successor many times as well over the next 4 years.

Shows how backward thinking they are. Republican party throwing massive sums at those 2 seats but people thinking not voting will be some kind of statement.
If you hate Biden so much then make sure you block the Senate. Surely a logical assumption? Not for Republican voters

I see he wants the election for the head of the WTO reopened because he doesn’t like the guy who’s a dead cert to win. Has there ever been a more anti democratic president of the USA?

But why is this a surprise to anyone. His entire career has been about him ordering people around and getting what he wants because he inherited enough wealth to not have to answer to anyone. He was always going to be a wannabe dictator and part of the reason he's always had a go at previous Presidents is he doesn't understand the job isn't being able to tell everyone else what to do.

It's one of the many reasons why having such massive wealth discrepancy and the uber rich is such a bad idea. The people that gain the wealth are bad enough, usually being selfish greedy bastards, but at least they know that things aren't just automatically done in their favour and they have to be ruthless shits to get what they want. Their kids however will have been brought up seeing everyone around them being bossed around by their parents and having to do exactly what they and their family say and they'll be used to just telling people what to do and getting their way. So when someone stands up to them they won't take that well and act just like Trump has and scarily with the wealth and influence available to them can use it to remove dissenters. Their view of the world is more like a feudal system with them at the top and everyone else doing what they say.

"Former Donald Trump adviser Michael Flynn has urged the president to use the military to force an election "rerun" in the swing states he lost in the election.

The former national security adviser suggested Mr Trump seized voting machines, the subject of numerous right-wing conspiracy theories.

This comes as the Pentagon has ordered a halt to briefings for the transition team of president-elect Joe Biden, according to reports."

Yay, a banana republic military coup. That will restore democracy.

I heard Trump will encourage them not to vote as a final parting shot at McConnell for congratulating Biden

Probably the final confirmation he doesn't give a shot about anyone but himself.
At least it'll be the final nail in his aspiration to run again in 2024

You don't think other candidates will make mincemeat of him for handing over complete control for next 4 years to Biden and a Democratic congress?

Depends if they take the view of but for Covid.
When could should have our election been but for Corbyn calling it late or early?
Might have tested the outcome one way or another.
Of course there may have been no difference either way,who knows?

Other candidates don't have tens of millions of voters in a deep personality cult. His hardcore support is going nowhere

Will it be enough? The less committed and swing voters aren't going to forget his behaviour and its divisiveness.
Also under Biden the analysis of the handling of COVID will be done. That won't look good for Trump. If Biden oversees a period of stability hard to see him losing if he went for a 2nd term.

I’m certainly not saying Trump would win the election overall. But if he ran for the Republican nomination I think he’d get it and comfortably. While your Mitt Romneys can’t stand him they don’t command much support in the base.

Wouldn't surprise me - it all has to be about him and if it isn't he'll just destroy it. Esp as he's not got any financial interest in it.

Reps could work with the authorities in secret to bring about Trump's downfall. Loads of shit that should see him in prison and clearly going against US interests could see quite a few abandon him. They'll be looking to dig up as much dirt as they can if he basically hands the Dems the Senate as a FU. Financial records, tax returns, business dealings, improper conduct, flouting regulations, dealings with other nations/crime syndicates.

Didn't Flynn get pardoned by Trump? So he's basically got him over a barrel and has probably been told to go out there and say this daft shit.

Well yes he could end up in prison, that’s the Republicans’ best hope for 2024.
