I’m sure if they went into a mosque to heckle an imam the poster in question would still be outraged. It was wrong what they did that’s easy to say but there’s no comparison to the shooting of an unarmed woman in the face and refusing emergency care for her
HuhThey were attacked and had no choice. America could have just let it all happen but they chose to get involved. If it wasn’t for the Americans we would probably be speaking Russian by now
CorrectI am a retired Churchwarden in the Church of England. Churchwardens have the power, within the church precincts, to arrest and evict persons who cause disruption of a church service.
It could be different in the US of course.
Looks ok out the window and in any case our forces wouldn’t be expected on the front line we could just do admin and make the tea all we’ve ever done according to the peace minister and presidentWe wouldn't still be talking about it if what you just said had surfaced earlier rather than the smoke and mirrors of the last few pages from some, let's leave it at that. This has already had too much airtime.
Given that European airlines have cancelled flights to the middle east, it looks like something might be about to kick off, which is much more important than this conversation. Iran are also making threats by the looks of it, so hopefully we don't wake up to world war 3 tomorrow.
Yep damn straight Rupert would be straight out condemning itI’m sure if they went into a mosque to heckle an imam the poster in question would still be outraged.
Voting in a complete moron not once but twice has lasting consequences.I hope mark carney is right. The last 70 years USA has not just had responsibilities but also rights to act in may ways that have led to it being a huge success in terms of its economy and influencePentagon to offer 'more limited' support to US allies
The US will also offer “more limited” support to US allies, according to a new national defence strategy document.www.bbc.co.uk
Take that away and stop influencing in a soft and hard way you don’t just lose respect you start to lose the other parts too
20 years from now things will look very different in fact possibly much less
Everyone on here would call out any violence against ICE or MAGA people by the protestors. However is protesting against someone from ICE in a church, given the tensions over the cititizens murder in that area, a bad thing? I think its justified with tensions so high on such an important matter. Why is a church sacrosanct? There's people openly on this thread saying they wish he was assassinated. You haven't called that out. Not that it has anything to do with this anyway. Again...
This also has nothing to do with what any punishment should be for these people. They protested in a church. It is low behaviour. That is it. If you are really telling me that it isn't a problem and that you think it is perfectly normal behaviour, then it demonstrates how lost you are on this.
Look, not every poster on here has the intellectual bravery to confidently state that a neo-Nazi who thinks that immigrants are “chemical weapons by the Talmudic Jews” made a point which was “completely validated”.Protesting in a church = wrong, low behaviour, must be called out
Burning a Koran in the streets = 'unnecessary' but proved his point
But it's everyone else that is incapable of calling out certain things?
a mate of mine got married best man in speech said how there were three of them but one was lost in afghan was done with class and understament summat trump knows nothing aboutTrumps comments about the frontline have really touched a nerve with me .
Many british soldiers died , and many more died afterwards through mental health struggles
I lost 2 friends , the british army and our nato friends were involved in many fierce battles in both iraq and afghanistan
Not sure what to say really , hes damaging relations all over the world and certainly isnt fit to represent the largest power on earth
It is very cowardly
poor iranian victims for protesting but we dont want them here cos theyll be changed into rapist asylum seekers and we dont want to protest against our own nietherWe wouldn't still be talking about it if what you just said had surfaced earlier rather than the smoke and mirrors of the last few pages from some, let's leave it at that. it ant related to a school complaining they detained a five year old anywayEveryone on here would call out any violence against ICE or MAGA people by the protestors. Sorry I dont know much about the particular case, but churches should never be a haven of purity given the abusive and ecploitative stuff that has happened in them over centuries. The MAGA fake religious righteousness is sickening. Didn't Trump controversially use a church venue as a political weapon justification for violence at the Capital?
Did you call that out?
I’m sure if they went into a mosque to heckle an imam the poster in question would still be outraged.
there are a lot of unhinged replies
Why is burning a holy book fine but going into a church to protest isn’t?Yes, I would. They can wait outside until it's finished.
I've checked this thread this morning, and there are a lot of unhinged replies with nothing actually particularly relevant to what I'm saying. It is all comparisons and whataboutism. Also bargaining rants about TDS and Koran burning. It's then met with 'if protesters behaved in a bad way we would call it out so we aren't biased'. That's objectively a lie. There's many of you on here that have been simply unable to do that, which is why this discussion is still going on.
I find the official opposition to them/him to be a pathetic shambles who are just repeating the labour shtick over here and little else, complicity would be a way to describe it/them, even voting with them!Voting in a complete moron not once but twice has lasting consequences.

This is the last time we play the whataboutism game.
You think it is ok to burn holy scriptures in public as part of a political campaign. What is the difference, aside from that being literally more inflammatory? This is the last time we play the whataboutism game.
You think it is ok to go into churches and protest as part of a political campaign because you have motivated reasoning. You and some others cannot analyse things properly because of it. Let's leave it at that.
This has already had too much airtime.
but wut about sum other protest eh eh ehNot content with detaining 5 year olds, they've moved on to 2 year olds now

I'd love to say how I feel about this story, but I'd hate to be accused of having "motivated reasoning"Not content with detaining 5 year olds, they've moved on to 2 year olds now

stop with your unhinged replyI'd love to say how I feel about this story, but I'd hate to be accused of having "motivated reasoning"
Only by entering the objective mind palace can you achieve such insights as “Jake Lang had a valid point” and “Targeting churches is fine as long as you’re outside”I'd love to say how I feel about this story, but I'd hate to be accused of having "motivated reasoning"
