Their biggest imports from the UK are pharmaceuticals, so he’s making the cost of medicine even higher for US citizens.

Denmark could sidestep the Greenland thing by just giving him a novelty deed certificate with his face on it.

It wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up saying that they need to have Greenland to continue supporting Ukraine.

I think many are missing here Trump's major achievement of reininstating plastic straws back to the general public...

Paper straws just suck.

He really is a narcissistic twat…I think the whole,e of Europe should make a combined effort to stop buying anything American ..even if it’s just for a month , cancel all streaming subscriptions for a month ,no fast food outlets boycott American holidays .. see how his ten percent tariffs go then

I can't wait for him to finally expose himself,no not in that way but the use of naked aggression after being the bastion of peace, there is no pretext for him to hide behind, play the victim like Isreal!

I think Europe should put a collective bid together and say we want to buy the US.

Then the US can move to Greenland and be a much smaller nation.

Do you see him forcing his way to some sort of 'win' at some point over this? I'm not sure exactly what (bigger NATO contributions to security costs? One sided minerals deals?) But the thought that 'might' may prove right again for him sickens me.

Whoever follows Trump has a hell of a job restoring US standing and trust. Unless its more of his lot that wont give a fuck either.

Even if they elected someone with a brain and a moral compass, they could simply vote in someone like him in another few elections’ time. What this term is showing is that the US doesn’t actually have effective guard rails against a tyrant wannabe dictator.

Impeachment requires two thirds of the Senate. You will not get 15-20 Republicans doing that even if he invaded Western Europe.

If he took Greenland by force, I think it'd be the end of him. No doubt there will be some kind of agreement reached that allows him and his cronies to syphon off profits.

If Vance gets in next, I think he will actually be even more antagonistic towards Europe in general.

Trump is allergic to protracted military action so I don’t see an invasion happening unless they are positive there will be no resistance. Either way I think NATO is done for. The whole thing is bizarre.

Vance would be a nightmare, very little chance he carks it from old age any time soon either.

I think we'll see some sort of deal forced upon Denmark eventually. Not a good way to treat your allies.

I can’t see him taking Greenland by force. He’s massively stepped over the line with the rhetoric though. Weird timing when the Supreme Court are still reviewing the legitimacy of him applying tariffs…that was before ‘I’ll apply tariffs unless you give me land’…can’t imagine that’ll help his case* !

All very bizarre

Said before, but I think the distraction argument is dumb. There is no evidence that this is anything other than Trump just doing stuff that he has long wanted to do.

People waiting for some kind of smoking gun that wipes out the presidency in the Mueller report Epstein files are setting themselves up for disappointment, however damning it may turn out to be.

It won't be long - possibly as early as this coming week - before the US Supreme Court rules on the legality of the imposition of tariffs by Trump.

I think Trump will lose. That will take the wind out of his sails

Where are the much-lauded US Constitution's "balance of powers" just when you need them?

Hopefully things will be better after the mid-term elections.

The notion he’s going to look at invading a NATO country to avoid “looking over there” is pretty extreme
