We've all seen the steps to racism meme that gets thrown around all the time but how far do you get down the list before it becomes an issue?

This is a country that never shuts up about the importance of its constitution but a decent percentage of people seem quite happy to rip that up if Trump tells them different rules now apply.

This is a country that never shuts up about the importance of its constitution but a decent percentage of people seem quite happy to rip that up if Trump tells them different rules now apply.

I would be interested to see how those in here that have said Trump isn't showing the traits of a fascist look at that and still hold that view.

He’s not a fascist. George Orwell warned against the cheapening of the word ‘fascist’ and ‘Nazi’. You have no differentiation between Trump, Kirk, Farage, Netanyahu, Tommy Robinson and Nick Griffin.

Did you not see how coordinated many of the MSM were in claiming Biden was still up to the job of being president? It was v clear to anyone looking at him that he was a frail old man who didn’t look well.

Those outlets were complicit in spreading the lies about Biden’s mental capacities. Jake Tapper wrote a book about this yet there’s multiple compilations praising Biden being ‘as sharp as a tack’.

I haven’t called basically any other right wing politician a fascist except for the one who I think is acting like one. It isn’t just ‘the left’ either, some of his term one appointments have used the same descriptor. He ticks all the boxes for an authoritarian, the uber nationalist rhetoric, economic and foreign policy clinches it.

We can have an honest debate about what we both understand to mean ‘fascism’, but it’s not a label I throw around all that often. You’re talking to someone who actually was half tempted to support him back in 2016, to be clear.
