You're right, boosh Dom. You don't stir things up. Definitely not dumping rage bait posts (which you delete when you spot that they're obvs. bullsh*t) and relentlessly jumping on other people's chats to bait them directly if your X nonsense didn't work. I've not said flags are racist. Crack on, fella!

Boosh dom? That all you’ve got, me and him laugh at it regularly tbh it’s quite embarrassing on your behalf. You have been crying about people putting flags up for weeks so stop bullshitting, you just hate the fact someone disagrees with you and calls you out

Oh, bless, you're too stupid to realise what an absolute hypocrite you are.

It's all a bit embarrassing really, you were doing better when you just posted pictures of your favourite nonce dancing, maybe you should go back to that.

It's hard to get annoyed by someone that's a figment of someone else's imagination. It would be cool if people could actually talk about stuff without your act taking up this much space but no one's stopping you.

Mate, I'm sorry if it hurts, but you are a nonce fanboy, the evidence is quite clear and it isn't going away. What's weird are the contortions you're going through to try to justify it - you'll do yourself an injury mate.

As for supporting women's rights, your favourite nonce isn't big on that either, so either you're pretending that you care about women's rights, or you're pretending to support nonce's approach to them by denying them rights to their own bodies and sexually assaulting them.

Simple question, which is it?

Where have I said anything of the sort?

I'm coming to the conclusion that you're just a bit, well, thick and maybe I'm being cruel to you by exposing it on here. Must be terrible for your self-esteem.

Ah shit, maybe he does deserve that Nobel peace prize after all - he has found a way to reduce crime levels and best of all it can be applied to any city in the world. Genius.

During remarks, Trump said that crime statistics would be lower if "lesser" crimes such as domestic violence were not counted.

"And much lesser things, things that take place in the home, they call crime. You know, they'll do anything they can to find something. If a man has a little fight with the wife, they say 'this was a crime, see,' so now I can't claim 100%," Trump said.

Naah, I've put him on ignore because he's a tedious WUM.

I tried, I really did, but in the end it was just too boring to deal with.

Pity, because I sensed there was a vague glimmer of intelligence there at least. Ho hum.

You're comedy gold though, so you're safe, nonce fanboy.

Reading your posts is like watching those fail videos on YouTube. You can't believe some people are so dangerously stupid, and yet there they go, sawing off the branch they're sitting on whilst gurning for the camera.

It's sad, scary, and yet hilarious and utterly compelling. Keep 'em coming, nonce fanboy. x

That’s a different argument though. Fact is she did it, the evidence was overwhelming. Her sentence was well within the guidelines for her crime, she didn’t even get the maximum sentence that she could have had. Given the weight of evidence against her pleading guilty was good advice evident by the fact she didn’t get the maximum sentence which is normally the reserve of people who plead not guilty despite the weight of evidence against them.

If you’re saying that the sentencing was harsh compared to other crimes then the argument should be that the sentencing guidelines are wrong not that she’s some sort of victim. If you can’t do the time etc

I’d wait until this has played out properly because Lucy Connolly is supposedly considering legal action against the police. The jist of it being that a) the misrepresented what she said to the CPS and b) manipulated her into pleading guilty. A police corruption unit is investigating statements she made. All that aside, it’s obvious that some of the sentences dished out to protesters last summer were disproportionately harsh. Again, compare that to some of the things chanted and disorder at pro-Palestine demos too. Starmer politically wanted to nip the disorder in the butt and show she was ‘tough’ in the face of the protest

Pete, Tony, a 31 month sentence for a deleted tweet (however distasteful) should not outrank violent crime. At the same time, this Labour government was responsible for releasing seasoned criminals early and new criminals convicted actual violent crimes given more lenient sentence is ridiculous to most people.

duffer said:
Just to nip briefly back to this, let's not underplay what Linehan tweeted. In essence he said that anyone who comes across a trans women in a women's toilets, should attack them (punch them in the balls), just for being a trans woman - no other justification being required.

That statement would appear to be incitement to violence, a criminal offence.

Whether you like it or not, whether you agree with him or not, is academic. The police have a duty to enforce the law, so arresting him is not in itself a stupid act.

Whether it required five officers is a different matter, but the arrest was wholly legitimate.

The fact he's now claiming it was a joke, after a long history of strident anti-trans hatred and activism, looks a bit pathetic to me. At least the people getting arrested for peacefully holding up placards aren't pretending that they are just doing it as a joke.

Anyway, back to the main story of the day. Trump being outed as a nonce. Let's not forget to keep hanging that around the necks of his fanboys, it's just too much fun to miss.
Who was the tweet aimed at? No one specifically. It was an unfunny joke. Using your own logic, anyone who says 'punch a fascist in the face' would also constitute incitement. This, of course, would be ridiculous and a curtailment of free speech.

The man hasn't been charged with an offence (yet) so as of right now, there is no crime to answer for. What I would say, you may champion this example but the law its current form could be flipped and used against you. For example, should the police arrest the hundreds of people tweeting violent threats to JK Rowling (or anyone)?

I take the point about sentences for violent crimes, but that doesn't mean her sentence was excessive. Might mean sentences for violent crime are too lenient. Two things aren't connected.

and saying Labour were responsible for the early releases in May is a bit reductive. An independent report by a former Conservative MP said more could be released than Labour allowed.

Same report said just building new prison places wouldn't solve certain issues, and Labour inherited a system that was overcrowded with a growing population. I'm not a lover of their record or their leader(s) but that was not their mess.

and this isn't at you but FFS if we just legalised drugs we'd solve so many problems and save so much money incl. prison overcrowding. More room for violent criminals on longer sentences. Bosh! sorted.

What do you feel would have been an appropriate sentence based on the current sentencing guidelines for a category A1 offence taking into account the fact she did not initially plead guilty and therefore would not be eligible for the full reduction for a guilty plea?

The guidelines are a starting point of 3 years’ custody and a range from 2 to 6 years.

As you should be, my fundamental premise that when it comes to freedom of speech, all speech is protected.

It’s perverse that speech, at any level, can be punished harsher than actual violent crimes.

This is the problem. The legislation exists and is being applied.

Rather than complaining about an individual case or two tier policing people need to be calling for legislative change. But that's not a simple soundbite as it will require a conversation about where the line should actually be.

Which is reasonable as that’s the only speech that can cause “harm”.

The people defending this with the line ‘it’s the law’ seem to not identify that the problem is the laws themself. They could easily be weaponised to prosecute people in other ways.

I would say death threats or wishing death or violence on specific people falls into that category too, I suppose it depends on how much of a free speech absolutist someone is.
