You're desperate to replace Hamer with a defensive midfielder?
Someone with the defensive qualities and ideally vision that he has, or somewhere near that level, basically someone to work alongside Sheaf so we’re not relying on Eccles and Kelly every game.

Yeah fair I just expected out of all the 100’s of CMs in all the leagues around the world we’d have signed one of them that’s all. I’d have loved it if there was a perfect Hamer replacement but if there genuinely isn’t one out there then it doesn’t have to be Hamer quality right this minute but someone with potential that we can train up and just add depth to our squad when we get tired or injured, even someone at £2-£3 mil would help us out, always good to have options that’s all.

They will have a list of targets and alternatives. You would like to think they would put some serious work into landing one of the top three rather than just defaulting to the number 11 choice just because they can sign him.

Sometimes you are in a chain, if we can get a replacement you can have him. Do you wait or move on?

We 100% got 20 up front for Vik. Sporting have to release fees publically someone put the document on here
Exactly, so from Vik alone we’ve (more or less) paid for the whole transfer window (yes I realise wages are a thing too), so that means we should have the money from Hamer plus whatever Doug wanted to invest in the club himself, it’s a considerable chunk of cash for us and I just think we should be striking whilst the iron’s hot and whilst we still have the luxury of saying to potential signings that we were one kick away from being in the Prem last year.

We were actually one kick away from staying in the mix.

Last season has gone. No professional footballer will sign on that alone. You are just an emotional fan.

Lots of teams are showing intent and ambition to get promoted to the Premier League. We are better placed than we were but by no means are we out in front leading the field.

I hope hes having me on again lads

I really do

But we've had 2 bids turned down for the players we want, CB who I assume is Kitching, and the CM. Both turned down and doesnt look like we'll be going back

He wont be surprised if we get no one else in

Moore also staying as it stands 😳

I can’t see us not signing anyone tomorrow

I’ll take 2 panic loans at this point

Barnsley want 5 million for Kitching apparently if we want him that bad we’ll go in again

Just play Moore as a box- to-box midfielder then. Problem solved.

It would be a bit frustrating, but I presume you wouldn't want the club to be taken for a ride and pay over the odds, or alternatively sign someone who wasn't near the top of our list?
I would do yes

rather than leaving us ridiculously short

This is the thing, yeah we are all gonna be a bit gutted if we don't get the players we want but we don't want to just sign over priced players to fill the squad

So what?

getting to the point where needs must
We can manage without another CB. I don’t think we can manage without another CM, but we’ve made a right pig’s ear of it. Got to hope Sheaf, Eccles and Kelly can see us through to January…

Yes, we should wait until the window has closed but given that's a day away it does feel completely last minute given 1) It was pretty clear Gus was likely to go 2) We still haven't replaced him yet.

Sure, we've signed some expensive strikers and also Sakamoto (who doesn't seem to have a position), but our midfield is very weak. Like buying the fanciest suit you can find but decideding to go out barefoot. Why do half a job?

Clive: So unfortunately you didn't bring anyone else in even though you had time. Why is that?
Robins: Well funnily enough we almost signed Pogba but I met another bloke called Mark in the club shop and missed the call.

We can't even cry into our shirts either, because the fucking truck broke down!
