Of course we did. If we had another player to play right wing we’d have kept the same formation

We will be extremely fortunate if they are fit to play them all

We aren't going to sign a Sheaf replacement, it's arguably our strongest area. Eccles and Torp will be fine in Sheaf's absence.

It’s not our strongest area. Torp has looked v good so far and in Sheaf’s absence, he’ll need to get to speed quickly.

As things stand, Eccles is a good system player - he’s good defensively and he doesn’t give the ball away. However, an area he’s yet to flourish in is his control of the midfield. I’m yet to see him really boss the midfield in ways Sheaf and Hamer have. Yes, it’s a high bar to achieve but if he’s going to stay at our level, he’ll need to continually develop.

Today and Friday, without Sheaf we looked out of ideas and got stuck into some predictable passing patterns.

I like Allen, he’s got energy, good direct passing but his defensive work, physicality and ‘tidiness’ on the ball isn’t up there with Sheaf, Eccles and Torp. As for Lati, tidy player and his versatility is appreciated, but he’s definitely a RB/CB.

It’s been my view all season that our CMs just aren’t as strong as people think.

Torte is also a cake. Eccles and torte would be a scrumptious midfield.

Robins said nobody expected to come in, 2 maybe 3 out. Very disappointing if so, could be make or break to get playoffs, especially if Sheaf out for a long period.

I'm assuming Kelly is one of those going out, but with no one coming in, I think its worth keeping him

I would be worried for squad depth if by the end of the window these 3 leave plus Ayari, gives 4 senior players out and just Torp in.

Fair point but I would argue we have been quite fortunate with injuries since SheaF, MVE and O'Hare returned. Only feels like we are a couple of injuries from looking pretty ordinary again in my opinion. Even last night it showed Lati isn't a proper midfielder and Palmer isn't a wide player.

I'd like to see someone in, but not just for the sake of it. Whatever happens, as usual, you have to trust the hierarchy. Even if we sign one or two, it guarantees nothing - so if we have to, I'd sooner wait until the summer to make the right additions.

Be really disappointed, we’ll finish about 10th if so squad isn’t deep enough up front

we’ll go again next year, but it’ll cost us this season. But the long term plan is the most important, just frustrating as we’re up there now.

There’s a decision to be made to go for it while we’re in the top 6 already or just get by. Yesterday for me was a big flag with squad depth especially in central midfield. A few injuries there and the team just struggles.

If the right player isn't available on a permanent it's understandable that they are reluctant to roll the dice, but not strengthening by at least bringing in some quality loans would be criminal.

If we were 12-16th and nothing to play for fair enough - but we have a real opportunity for a playoff run.

I also don't totally buy Robins comment that we "made a go of it" last summer.

The squad was stripped bare with 14 (I think) players out the door including our two best. It wasn't a case of building on last year it was rebuilding a completely new team.

Sheaf will be a massive loss, but I think there’s a real pressing need for a striker
