All you can do is stand out against your opposition. The other teams analysing you will decide whether that's likely to translate to a better standard or not.

Let's not get too excited though. Eccles and Jamie Allen would be the players of the league in that division.

FotMob absolutely loves him. Had him as one of the best players in that league last season, average rating of 7.65. And his stats are unreal.

I don’t know, like it’s not overly excessive considering the money we got from sales in the previous window? Not saying it’s a necessity but it’d be great to have that little bit of extra quality going into next season.

It's a lot of money on one player, especially in a position where the need isn't that great

Ain't no midfielders driving their teams forward like this guy in league 2 atm really. Cloggers for the most part, see Wrexham for example.

He's shit at getting dispossessed though. I guess we can always use Allen for that.

@Frostie what’s the stat that can tell us if he pings balls about?

Long pass per 90 and long pass success rate? Something like that?

Probably. I’m hoping for a pass average mph stat. I want someone who fires it across the pitch.

Not sure you need that. I think more someone who can create space whilst on the ball, and then thread a pass. Couple of clips from the video shows him doing that well, though I assume the level of opposition is much lower.

I like his positioning on the edge of the box as well.

Got a mate who lived in Norway for years, and he messaged his Sarpsborg supporting mate about him.

The response he got called him a poor mans Martin Odegaard. I'll take that at the rumoured price!

I'm sure that Robins and the coaching staff will make him into a better player.

I think we need to move the ball quicker all over the pitch TBH.

Kyle Edwards released by Ipswich, would take him as back up to Wright. Always looked a handy player but not the best injury record, scored against us at Wembley if memory serves me right.

I also predict when he scores from the edge of the area Andy Turner will use the headline Torp-edo

….and then still give him 5 out of 10 in his player scores

Late to the party but been reading the last 10 pages just now.

To see Gimocs return quashed within about 47 minutes of posting I have to say was hilarious. What a twist!!
