I actually think he's worth more than that to us than that tbh. Distrubution is poor and but he's always been a good shot stopper and is honestly becoming elite when it comes to being switched on and getting on top of loose balls in behind the defence etc. Plus his character is massive as has been said.

If Newcastle are genuinely interested in signing Vik then it's not totally beyond the realms...It depends how much they offer, and how easy we could find a replacement. If we could sign the Rotherham keeper or say get Darlow in who did pretty well at Hull last season, then it might not be the worst move for us. As pointed out though his character has been a crucial aspect to the spirit within the team, the importance of which is not so easy to quantify.
