Maybe. Saka is a bit old and I’m not convinced by Thomas at all.

I don’t want to criticize tonight, but he was very poor first half

He was playing against one of the best aerial players in the division tonight , by the second half he had worked out how to play him and I thought did it better and better as the game went on

He was. There was a point where he came over and got in van Ewijks way for no reason then got skinned. The balls he gives MvE are just awful, plays it to feet when he’s marked and all he can do is pass it back.

He was poor until the first goal which he had a part in, after that he gained confidence and was more assertive and didn't put a foot wrong

He’s just not very good with the ball and it really hampers our use of our best attacking asset in MvE and Saka.

On a positive note I see him how I did Hyam and he went for cash so what do I know.

Yeah so not likely to increase in value like Sheaf/O’Hare/Gus/Vik who we all signed in their early 20s…

My dad said that, we need to get better from those situations as the ball goes out to Milan for it to just come back

You can see him still trying to bring the ball out as Robins clearly wants, but unlike Kitching he hasn’t got the composure yet. Still convinced in a season’s time he’ll be much improved but expect mistakes in the meantime.

Thought Thomas did well tonight. Headed a lot of crosses away. He's aggressive which is a great quality in a centre back. Not the finished article but definitely a player there who will improve.

Exactly this point, if he was as big and aggressive as he is and could play the ball - he wouldn't be at Coventry, he would be in the Prem.

I think he has already improved this season, if that continues I think he will be a hell of a player.

The Hamer deal fell on his lap, and if Bik does go for €100m in Jan was £20m a great price?

Hindsight is 360 on the Vic one.

£20mil at the time was a decent price for a player in the last year of his contract playing in the championship. If we had him under a 2-3 year deal we'd likely have gotten closer to £40mil I think.

Also, he has kicked on. He looks absolutely lethal for Lisbon, if he keeps hitting his straps we're gonna bank another 10 mil from his sale.

Really don’t get the Thomas criticism. Headed the majority of their crosses and corners away yesterday, has a good partnership with Kitching and has 4 clean sheets in 5

It’s his use of the ball and his scary moments. He reminds me a lot of Hyam.

Aerially he’s good, ball on the ground I’m still not sure. Couple of times in the first half he got drawn out to MVE and left space for the attacker.

His season average is 79% which looks to be in the lower third for CBs.

That’s pretty poor for a CB. And considering 90% of his passes are to a marked MvE so he can get it back not surprising.

Yeah a defender that loses the ball 1/4 of the time is not a good thing.

Thomas and Kitching are both very good. Fadz was holding them back unfortunately. As a 2 they are solid.

The disrespect shown to O’Hare in this thread a few pages back was arguably worse than the infamous Burden thread - ridiculous.

He’s never scored a goal at the top level. Portugals league is a good standard but not elite.

A goalscoring International striker too .. fact is he's worth more than 12 million .. hence why we got 22 million

Probably worth almost triple that by the end of the season

His season average is 79%, guess who’s at 80%. McNally who everyone has down as the saviour for our defence.

Kitchings is only 81%?
