Perhaps we are waiting to see if any other option comes available rather than just completing the loan now, if we get the chance of McCallum or another LWB that has played mens football to a good level on loan, I can very much see us choosing to opt for them. And usually more players become available for loan later in the window when clubs have finished their buying and squad building.

I would have Mcallum back but we will loose some dynamism in the LWB role if we go with Bidwell and Mcallum as both are not the beat a player types and pace is not their strongest attribute.

If we are getting this guy from Palace then we will certainly have more numbers at the back. Problem is, are any of them any good, or better than what we have now? We desperately need an upgrade in quality in our defence.

Seems to me Hyam wil be moved to the Fadz role if this Adaramola deal works

Dabo Rose Hyam Panzo Adaramola first choice

Kane Fadz Doyle Bidwell in reserve

Would take that any day

I think the only change I would say is Bidwell ahead of Adarmola, he’s had a good pre-season

If Moore was to go could you see a new keeper coming in on loan or would we look to play Wilson and have one of the youngsters as back up?

That was last season you said that I thought? Anything more recent, haven’t heard much from you recently?

Its thought that his main source has left the club, but it wouldnt be out of the ordinary if he still had another around the club somewhere

He said previously interest, from last season, which came to nothing. The question was any interest in our players this season (apart from the ones he listed)

McCallum I suspect will be back up left back at Norwich this season

Nothing at the moment
Waghorn and Walker will probably remain

Kane I could see being moved on

Might see some loan move out

The LWB is close with a loan I think

Would expect a new 11 to start at Walsall, players rested yesterday

Palmer was withdrawn once Kelly was injured to save him for Tuesday

Team on Saturday will be as close to starting 11, Moore has a big chance on Tuesday

Mark Robins knows far more about football than me and gets it right more often than not but what on earth does he see in Ben Wilson?

It’s not just Robins. So many fans too. I just don’t get it. Makes a gaff every other time he plays. Seems like a great character and I don’t mind him being #2 as long as he only plays in emergencies.

Wilson starting the season as first choice would be an insane decision. The man is a walking penalty.

I suppose it depends on how much influence Aled Williams has, he may think Wilson is the better keeper?

If Wilson is the best of the two then goalkeeper should have been top of the list this summer.

He seems like a good laugh? Reckon he's there to keep players smiling. I think he's good enough as backup to be honest, of course there is better out there but I don't feel goalkeepers were a priority this summer with the small budget we have.

He does, I watched the pre season interviews they did and most of them said he’s the funniest in the squad. I still don’t want him in goal for the season though!

No one will be smiling if he’s number 1 next season. It’s lee Burge all over again.

I doubt he cares much. It was the same with Mowbray - I don’t think they see the differential in keepers making that much of an impact.

He signed Moore but he in his mind probably thinks the wages can be better deployed elsewhere - perhaps we can get Burge back - at least that will arouse PVA

We have one of the largest potential support bases that there is. Biggest city (aside from Leeds I think but they merge into Bradford) with only one club (I think) plus Nuneaton, Leam, Warwick, Bedduth, Treacletown, Rugby etc.

Burnley haven’t got our potential.

We’ve taken 40k plus to Wembley on more than one occasion recently, it’s time we stopped putting ourselves down and pointed these things out to potential signings / sponsors / investors.

We have had this potential supporter base for years but somehow never got large home attendances on a regular basis.

Regardless of potential, Burnley can pay higher wages and could well be in the Prem in 12 months

That sounds like potential to me.

We should dominate the game to be fair. Shouldn't have a huge amount to do.

Apologies if you've commented on this before but you think the club will progress any interest in either of the Derby lads? (Sibley or Bird) if/when O'Hare goes. Like the look of both if they could be picked up for the right price.

Not trying to be difficult in the slightest but back to the old age question - how do you determine how big a club is

I have this chat with a Newcastle fan at work on an almost daily basis
