i loved Dennis Mortimer but to suggest he was better than Tommy Hutchison in 75 is very much debatable.

Mortimer was captain of Villa when they won the top league and the European Cup but don't think he ever played for England. Tom was the best player we ever had. Considering he was a piss-head, just think how brilliant Tom would have been we a modern football regime. Tom was criminally under used by Scotland.

Maatsen must have the same creative agent as Westbrooke, Rose and Clarke-Salter. Linked with Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Feyenoord... Ends up at Burnley.

Feyenoord was genuine, he turned them down. Not sure about the others

You’re probably right but three points is what matters

We took 6 points off Fulham because they tried to play. Would be pleasantly surprised if we took 6 off Burnley

Burnley will try and play good football.

How Kompany manages to transition them will be their challenge.

I quite like the look of Niels Nkounkou of Everton, was out on loan at Standard Leige in Belgium last season

This is quite a dramatic take but doesn’t sound like he did well out there

Everton must get rid of Nkounkou as terrible loan spell ends

Niels Nkounkou's loan spell away from Everton technically came to an end on Sunday as Standard Liege played their final league game of the campaign.

Guess this one was never on the cards then

PSV set to sign Everton defender Branthwaite on loan
PSV are close to agreeing a season-long loan move with Everton for defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
The 20-year-old hasn't travelled to the USA with Frank Lampard's squad for their pre-season training camp.
Branthwaite made just six Premier League appearances for the Toffees last season.

Panzo joins like we al predicted. good signing, could be a big hit or big miss, we’ll just have to see. Need a LWB next.

Turner saying we’ve got one basically done but they won’t be released for loan yet.

Also says only looking at the Derby pair of Hamer and/or O’Hare goes.

Tbh if we flog Hamer and bring in Sibley and Bird with SISU pocketing the left overs, we've done ok. Big IF though.

I'm not 100% but it ties in with what I've heard & what we already know.

He should get plenty of game time with Palace so if it is him match fitness shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah if both go I’d expect at least 4 players of high potential in ideally. I can accept most of the first is going to debts.

I mean if they want to keep up this buy low sell high 'model' that actually involves buying at some point, so fingers crossed. These loan signings are sending me to sleep.

With 5 subs and a hectic schedule this year rotation is likely.

I wonder if we're looking at changing the wingbacks mid-game more often.

Wingbacks are so important to our system they need to be involved at both ends of the pitch.

Antonio Conte rarely plays his wingbacks for the full 90 as they cannot maintain energy levels for that long.

I'd imagine there will be lots of rotation. He's a very different style of player to Bidwell too so depending on game state/opposition we'll likely mix it up a bit.

I wouldn't read too much about him being on the fringes at Palace, they have taken mostly youth/academy players on tour in fairness with only 10 first teamers. Belief is not many of their star names are vaccinated & Singapore have some strict entry rules.

Fullbacks out the palace academy have done OK recently, I’d be happy with this

Your not comparing like for like. Hutch was the best winger we ever had, and could dribble his way out of anything.
Gladys was an all round midfielder, he could pick a pass others wouldn’t see. Had a good shot, and was not shy in the tackle either.

Was this Panzo we were trying for an option on @Skybluebeliever? Reading Andy Turner's article earlier today it sounds like one more of the loans is agreed but won't join up till a bit later. Any knowledge of this?

That’s interesting, would these pre season tours be booked a year or two in advance or are they that committed to growing the ‘brand’ they don’t care who’s out there?

@Skyblueweeman might know a little more

Think there is a Leamington and Warwick supporters club meeting with Dave Boddy tonight. Be interested to hear what he has to say on the transfer front if anyone on here is going along.
