Anybody know any good places? Have some Nike Air Max that are looking a bit tired, the white bits arent that white any more but wouldn't mind them having a bit of a makeover.

I've literally just got some old pretty green wallabies done by Refresh Trainer Spa. Hes in Nuneaton. You'll find him on FB. I think he generally does bespoke shoes/dying etc. Got some great CCFC/2Tone trainers hes made. But he does do refresh for £15 a pair.

Heres my before and after.

Buy some Sneakers ER and do it yourself

I have looked at stuff like that.

The fabric is weird, they aren't suede but aren't leather. I don't fancy trying to dye them but if there is something that will just get all the crap off the white parts I could try that?

Ill have a look to see what might do it.

Alright mate, I don't want to be watching for blue ticks. If he leaves me on read it might break my heart.

Love to know a way to clean up my gazelles!

There are a fair few people around doing restores now. If it's just a good clean you can probably get stuff to do it yourself. Don't put them in the washing machine!
I'm actually wearing a pair of gazelles as we speak that could do with freshening up so let me know how you get on.

I think @edgy may have had some done.

My infrared Air Max 90s are on their way out. Cleaned them to look good as new but once the material in the heel starts wearing you know your old friends are on borrowed time. If I can I'm just getting the exact same pair again, most comfortable shoes I've worn in my life

I've got a pair somewhere that I read online you can use "Toothpaste" to clean them, they went to shit and crispy so I chucked them in the cupboard.

I may see if a pro can restore them as I loved them!

My missus said that! She said chuck em in the bin you tramp!

I've just got a new lease of life out of a £110 pair of shoes for £15. Effectively im £95 better off for not having to buy a new pair of shoes. Massive W in my eyes

Sneakers ER sell everything you need :

The cleaning stuff is decent, you get a brush with it. I've also got some Jason Markk cleaner which is good too.

Cheers, going to try and find my old 90's out and will give it a go with some of that as a test.

I might ask the refurb guy about a custom colour change on my others which I don't fancy doing myself.

Yeah I tried using the dyes painted on and struggled with it tbh, better off paying someone particularly as the dye isn't cheap

Did you take a before and after when you did it yourself? I guess you get a fair few cleans out of a set?

Dabble between the 2. It's only usually Nike or Adidas trainers because they fit better.

To be honest I've had my eye on a pair of Diadora and a pair of Gola on 80s Casuals classics. I'd either look ultra trendy or a complete c**t in the Gola. Smart money's on the latter.

I don't get the thing about all this Yeezy stuff where people use bots to buy them and sell them on, most of them look absolutely dog shit.

I have got a lot of Adidas but all these reissues are wank, quality has gone down the pan and it's playing to a load of faux 'collectors' now. I got some Nike daybreak earlier this year which are much better. I'm going to get some more.

yeah, they're just rinsing it now. I used to have Trim Trabbs when I was younger and I was always keen for them to be re-issued but when they did release them they were shite.
Less is more as they say.

Gola are awful, that tit Graham Coxon from Blur used to wear them, it says it all. Faux retro, have never been trendy.
