Can’t remember the year but getting escorted out of the Cheltenham home end in the 6-1 before half time for celebrating our 2nd goal and in the Exeter end the same season!!! Great days out regardless

We went to that. Another Max overhead kick.

What's him deciding what tie to wear in-between matches got to do with it?

Mad Mickeh signing a 6ft 1 target man in James Scowcroft and then playing him right wing so that we had someone out wide to aim at for goal kicks.

Mentioned it a few times over the years, but in the mid 80s my mate and I went to the Victoria Ground for a Full Members' Cup tie. There were 16 of us in the away end.

On the way back we went down the wrong slip road to the motorway and started heading North. Nightmare evening.

Lots of good away days during the Wilderness years but also many awful ones.

That period when we first started playing at Sixfields where we were selling huge numbers away from home was fun. Played some good football too.

Ricoh Return was special too. Such a great atmosphere and a day I genuinely thought we'd not see for years, if ever.

That infamous Crewe game was a shocker. My two stand out memories from those two legs are:

1) Chris Dunn being apparently unable to stop any shot ever.

2) McSheffrey insisting he take a free kick in the last minute of the away leg when we were absolutely desperate for the equaliser, and completely messing it up and it going nowhere near the box packed full of our players. I was sat pretty much in line with where he took it from and he got some (deserved) pelters from those on the front few rows.

Chris Dunn what an awful keeper, We've had a few bad ones.

my low points focus on Nick Proschwitz leading the line, 6,000 for midweek games at the Ricoh and a club likely to go out of existence.

that explains when we are in play off finals or fa cup semi finals I turn up at Wembley with tears in my eyes - can barely believe it considering how far we had fallen.

The whole atmosphere around the place in the L1 relegation and start off L2 season in general.

We were so meek on the pitch and our ground was covered by a London rugby club's logos with a few thousand rattling around.

It really felt like the club was going to die.

Asking a local where the ground was at Grimsby and he didn't know. Then when turning up late we had to knock on a corrugated fence for a steward to come and let us in.

The plastic cup regional league games against St Finians under 21 teams at the Ricoh when you could hear everything the ref said - crowd including one man and his dog

When I thought we’d already hit rock bottom but then started flogging official CCFC screenwash.

Couldn’t buy a home shirt at the time as well. Madness.

Oh yeah - forgot about that bit. Butts Park car park, then heading to a window hatch, or being diverted upstairs to a woman with a printer. And you got a buzz if there was another city fan doing similar. Just bizarre.

I went to this game, pretty sure it was first game of the season (could be wrong) we did batter them all game & even had 3 goals disallowed including one in the last minute.

Yes and probably the most biased officials against us I've ever seen. It was like they felt sorry for Bolton and what they had gone through and gave them everything. Was about 3 stone wall pens not given as well as the disallowed goals.

I’ve not forgiven McSheffrey since - Murphy should have took it. If the ball had made it into the box we’d have scored . Crewe were all over the place - ironically you must be talking about me I was also in line with it and near the front.

I think turning up for the first game of the season and realising it was L2 and if things went badly we were non league. Fortunately it went ok.

Looking good and going one up against Forest in the championship relegation season when we actually had a chance to stay up. They came back to win and that knocked the stuffing out of us.

Hoping someone can help, my memory is telling me we played Crewe at home, we absolutely battered them for the whole game, they had one attack all game, scored from it and won the game?? But I can’t find it anywhere?? Someone tell me I’m not going mad??

I remember that game too. It wasn't the JPT semis, I have a feeling we went down to 9 men in that game, 1 sending off, 1 injury.

Does anyone remember the power cut during a night game in the very early years of the Ricoh. Only lasted 10 mins or so.

That was a great day. Spent the entire second half singing that their keeper Arnold stinks of piss and has no mates

Then Mcgoldrick lobbed him from 30 yards

Remember leaving that game thinking although relegation from the Championship was painful we’re definitely getting promoted and enjoying games after years of shite. Unfortunately we followed it up with another 5 years of mostly shite

I remember vividly Kevin Kyle at the corner of the box and byline trying to cross the ball.....and managing to kick the ball so gently it dribbled out for a goal kick about a yard in front of him. Definitely got booed
