This website is like a mixture of Jeremy Kyle and Question time and it seems as tho people have forgotten that its a football forum.

So, Forget everything that is happening off the field, Where do you think we will finish? Do you think we will lose anybody to another club in the next week?

best guess ..... mid table. we were deducted 10 points last season and finished there so see no reason why it wont roughly be about the same.

Heads in the sand time again eh lads!
Everything is fine and dandy.

Is no one actually allowed to talk about the on field stuff any more then?

It might be a football forum, but you don't ignore the off-field antics either! It's all part of the club!

If we can keep hold of Clarke,Moussa,Baker, and even Wilson now comes into it,we can finish high up I reckon.
As we know only too well by now we are still a selling club and if offers come in we know the creeps in charge won't hesitate to sell.I feel we will lose at least One of the players mentioned, but I hope I'm wrong because Pressley is forming a decent side right now and he needs to add to it not weaken it,but how many times have we said that over the years ?

I can see us losing 1 or 2 players. I think we'd miss Moussa and Clarke the most. But I think Christie is the most likely to leave.
If we keep up this scoring record and tighten up a bit at the back I see no reason why we can't come top half.

I really feel for Pressley especially if he loses two of his better players I bet he would be gutted ?
That's been happening to us for so long it has now become the norm to lose quality players.
I wish it would stop though because we will never progress if we keep selling our best.

With current squad mid table without Clarke, baker & murphy just stay up. However unless we move back to Coventry we won't exist by Christmas in my opinion

I still feel relegation is likely, we are scoring and conceding for fun but what worries me it's much more likely the goals we are scoring will dry up than we fix the defence, we also have no strength in depth and a likelyhood of losing a couple of important players before the window closes. If we bring in a couple and keep what we have I'll probably feel differently but it seems much more likely we are about to get weaker rather than stronger.

We've won two games out of four, way too early to predict I think. Very worried about how many were conceding at the moment.

This week is pivotal, any other season that we've shown promise we've lost a key player, or last season manager, and lost our momentum. Keep hold of everyone (and I think even Sisu aren't stupid enough to sell someone like Clarke in the current climate) and we'll do better than last season. Remember last year we lost ten points but we lost another ten with Thorn/Shaw that looks to be being wiped out by Pressley.

A consistent team and manager and we should be pushing top 10. Lose either Pressley or a couple of our bigger players as I'd worry what happens when the confidence bubble pops for the kids.

Relegation im afraid. Once tiredness kicks in with the younger players and injurys then I think we will be on a hiding to nothing, lets not forget we have conceded 8 goals in 2 games which is being covered over by the fact we have won one and drew one. I cant see us continuing to score at the rate we have especially against better teams but I can see us continuing to leak goals.

I said even they aren't that stupid.

If they can get rid of Sheffers and Jennings I doubt we'll lose anyone. If not expect maybe Christie to go as RBs tend to cause less consternation amongst the fans than STs like Clarke.

Also remember that they're in a massive PR battle to get fans on board with Sixfields and that "we're trying to save the club from that nasty ACL". Selling first team players makes that a lot harder.

Difficult to properly assess as I haven't seen any games this season but it certainly isn't sustainable to keep scoring 4/5 every week so we desperately need to sign re-inforcements at the back. Will we be able to bring anybody in of half decent ability? As a Coventry fan I am naturally pessimistic and I fear that when we pick up a couple of injuries/release a couple we may struggle.

And if we're still playing at Shitfields when this happens we could potentially be the worst supported club in the football league.

Don't think we will go down though, my guess is we'll finish about 17th.

Whilst there is a lot of uncertainty about our future, and its very early to judge the squad, I will just point out that at this stage last season we had not won a game! Many of us believed that without such a poor start to the season we would have been serious contenders for the title.

We have started more positively (dispute the points deduction) so it is possible that we could finish higher than last year IF we can keep the momentum and shore up the defence! But that's a big IF...

If we keep all of our players which I doubt and tighten up a bit at the back - top 10 easy. Otherwise bottom half struggle.

Like most of us we still think we are coming home soon.

As time goes by we will move away.
I will never ever go to Northampton.

Can't relate to the team at Northampton although want them to win due to first point.

Five years away I might not support again as I can't ever ever relate to Tim Fisher since he looked down on us at the forums as if we were scum. The same can be said as he looks down from the executive box at us scum. He must think 'I've got these idiots in the palm of my hands'

Do people genuinely see a difference on the results if we were to be playing at the Ricoh? Can't see it myself and see no evidence to suggest otherwise.

Our record at the Ricoh has been awful last few years, am I right in thinking last season we were picking up better results away from home?

I'VE SUSSED IT! SISU are geniuses! Play every game away from home and get a better record on the pitch. Those sly old vipers. Clever stuff!
