We were the better team by far. In the first half they created nothing and we should have finished them off in the second half. DMG Baker Sheffers Jennings all left their shooting boots at home. With better finishing could have scored 3 or 4 tonight

We had our usual second half wobble but if they are the best team in this division we looked comfortable against them. were we good or were Blades poor ?

Blades rested 4 of their best players including their first choice strike force (Neill Collins, Nick Blackman, Chris Porter and Shaun Miller). We had our best 11 out there.

First half both teams were very average with only long range shots.

The first 25 mins of the second half we were the best side yet, the goal aside I can't remember their keeper making a save.

From 65-85 mins sheffield looked dangerous, subbing Moussa who was having a good game and was heavily involved caused us to lose momentum. Fleck came on in the 75 minute and first touched the ball in the 91st minute. Good job he scored the pen!

We did why we needed to do, and we're in the next round, but it wasn't a particularly good performance.

We beat the best team in the competition by playing pretty poorly. We will improve for the other rounds and they are against lesser teams so fingers crossed we can do it. It's looking up again at last. Love a good cup run

The Blades rested a few so they were clearly more interested in the league and we needed to keep the momentum going so played our strongest team.

Difficult to judge really but neither team looked particularly good tonight.

we were solid without looking lethal upfront

but it beats the thorn days

onwards and upwards!

you are right there was no option of penalties back then and Sheff utd played their best 11. Same result after 90 minutes.
Sack the manager! Maybe not hey ............

Oh and a bloke who has recently been plying his trade at Nuneaton. Blunted the blades and scored a legitimate goal that was discounted on that night.
Or do you mean the thorn years in the championship......

ok so you admit once and for all that your final stance is that robins is no better than thorn and the team is no better off?

stop flip flopping and just answer.

Blades were excellent defensively i thought. Very well structured and i thought this was destined for a 0-0. The goal opened things up a bit. Just need a bit of luck sometimes!

Once again I was unimpressed with the standard of the reffing.....lost count of the number of fouls against us when similar offences the other way went unpunished.
