Robins is just a good steady L1 L2 manager that got lucky with the Hamer and Gyokores. He hasn't got what it takes for modern day championship football. 45m gone down the swanny, a long road back!
Tbf (if it has , as I believe our squad worth more than that), it's £45m spent, earnt from the sale of players he signed and improved.

You said all but a 5 for Van Ewjk and others deserved an 8
I know. Lati and Dasilva 8’s for me. Just found it comical that the hunt for the truth simply exists on the thread next door. And I did revise Simms down a point.

After the Blackburn game, people were talking about a minimum of 4 points from the following 2 games (against two of the poorer teams in the division). Well, we got ZERO. Now people have moved the goalposts to say a minimum of 4 points from the next 2 games. What happens if we get one or two points, or even zero again? Do we kick the can down the road a little further. Do we keep kicking it down the road until possible relegation?

there’s been some horseshit spotted on here today, but this might just be the standout

lack if quality everywhere.
Hmm, Latibaudiere looked better than most today. Rudoni? On an off day he still looked good. Bassette? If only he had some decent service.

I think Torp, Mason-Clark and Sakamoto (injuries have stifled this of course). They need to show what they can do. In training, so they are under consideration for a start.

I’m not for sacking Robins.

I find it interesting that the people saying Robins should not be sacked are able to explain why very clearly, with reason and justification; whereas the Robins Out section seem to be pretty rabid, toxic and coming up with all kinds of far fetched rationale and imaginary scenarios to back up their view.

Currently the Robins out section just consists of the forum moderator

He said Rudoni looked good. He really didn’t.

Bassette is an expensive Tavares as it stands.

The real kicker of course is Robins would have stuck with Wilson in goal who should be nowhere near the first 11

Preston created more and better chances, it could have been far worse
I think we were the better ‘team’ of the two. We had some pretty raw luck with the ball pinging off us on 50/50 balls and the ref gave so much to them in the first half but booked their players more? They had more chances and played like gangsters. Sheaf is off his usual form. Thomas and Eccles would help by passing to their own team.

We deserved something out of this match. The Ref was poor.

yes, but when the justification for Robins in is because he deserves it because of years gone by, or because he’s had some personal issues to deal with, it’s not really reason or justification, is it?

I’m still on the fence, but leaning more and more towards a change being needed because Robins, for whatever reason, seems completely lost this season and rolling out the same predictable post match comments week after week shows he doesn’t know what’s wrong or how to change it, or (if it’s behind the scenes) doesn’t have the power, balls or bottle to…

I’m not sure there’s been any other justification, but I’m sure you’ll try and argue otherwise

So you think hes doing ok then?

Here we go again with the making things up and telling lies.

What does that have to do with what you said? Where have I said I think Robins is doing well? Does the fact the first 10 games have been crap automatically mean he’s a L2/ L1 manager?

I don’t know if you’re acting dense or you are dense, so I’ll spell it out real clear.

1. No, Robins is not delivering at the moment

2. That does not by default mean he is a “L2/ L1 manager”, thats a giant leap and it’s bullshit.

Lose twice next week and he’s gone. Didn’t boo at FT but didn’t applaud either, these players don’t deserve it.
Absolutely right not booing. It felt flat. We’ve not had a great deal of entertainment this season. The Oxford and Spurs games stand out. TBH I thought any booing I heard seemed to be about the ref’s poor performance rather than the team. Then I hear that some people went to the front and gave their opinion to Robins.

too much there to come back on, but I will say- for me the justification for him to stay is not because I feel he deserves it, it’s the fact that he has the track record of turning it around. Different things.

it is worse than previous seasons, no getting around that, but right here right now I see keeping Robins as the better option, less risky and he’s done it before.

He's had the play off final with 2 stand out players, what else as he achieved in the championship

I think the booing was at the players though yes that referee was dreadful. Watching again, he only blows for handball after Wright scores, not at the time. Weak.

This is my fear. A lot of people talk like we get rid of Robins, someone comes in and we're immediately play off contenders.

I remember well the managerial merry go round as every appointment brought nothing but disappointment and calls for another new manager a few months later.
Better the disappointment we know.😀

I mean, again factually he is a L2 / L1 manager, he’s not really managed in the championship before us and most of his career and success in management was lower league - he has previously struggled at this level and also hasn’t ever managed in the premier league…

It’s also interesting there’s been no real approaches from higher placed teams, in our league or otherwise

what is your obsession with ‘lies’ over other people’s opinions??

To be fair we wouldn’t necessarily know if approaches had been made.

Not long been back. Long journey but I'm not angry or anything about today. I thought we did alright today. If only Norman had scored his chance in the first half, it could have been a different game.

so your opinion, which is fair - he does have a track record over the last couple of seasons with us maybe but other than that his record isn’t great (other teams included)

I would probably agree it’s less risky, at the minute, but the risk increases the more time you give him when he doesn’t win and drags us deeper into a relegation fight when a new manager has less time to do anything about it, and if you wait until after Jan no transfer market either

sometimes though you have to take a bigger risk for a bigger reward - and maybe the time is coming if the club and fans’ ambitions are to be matched

Opinions are great.

Trying to say that I was of the view that Robins is doing ok is a lie.

just like we’ve have people stating that people on here are placing blame on the fans for the poor start to the season.

Not true, made up, false; ergo lies.
