Yes, I think it is obvious protests no matter how small annoy the hell out of SISU and now Dominic Collins has put them more in the national arena they will hate it more, don't forget they own or run Malmo F.C. of Sweden. Woukd be interesting to know what they think of the SISU involvment there and how they operate that club.

You say SISU will laugh at protests etc. well it is that comical to them we have a new director last 24 hours and an appearance all the way from Portugal by our permo tanned chairman at Barnsley no less in the same week questions are being asked at a reasonably high level. Coincidences ? I don't think so

No I don't agree with the protests, they come across as pathetic and fickle. I am not happy with the running of the club but the fact is, they inheritered a shit load of problems when they brought us and at the start i think they were trying there best to turn things around, but now i feel they are just trying to recoup as much money as possible before selling us on. They don't want to be here and will be off at the first hint on a serious offer.

I agree they want out.
So why is it that a serious sustained protest will not pressure sisu to sell as they hate bad press. Some times in life when you have had enough crap you just take the quickest exit for less than your original valuation to save credibility with any future investors and current investors in sisu capitol

I don't think SISU will care much about the protest, neither will the investors or potential investors into SISU, with the amount of companies they purchase, the odd one is going to go tits up, SISU are only still here to protect the inital investment and i think they will be looking to recoup at least 50% off that as the bottom line (maximum loss), but obviously they will put a higher price on the club to give themselves some negoiating(sp?) room.

But I think there reaction to the protest against Derby shows they are very sensitive to bad press as shown by the response to banners (and please don't quote embarrassing fire certificate excuse) a wishy washy open letter and an unconvincing tv interview. What would be the response to a on going protest be?

I'm not really sure SISU are responseable for the over zealous stewarding in recent weeks, i think the stewards were told to try and keep a lid on it but just went completely OTT, which caused a reaction from some areas of the fans. I honestly don't know the way to best handle the situation, but that TV interview was embarrasing at best, it was probaly the right cause of action at the time but should of been done a hell of a lot better and by somebody who knew what they were talking about.

The investors maybe slightly concerned by the protest, but these people are business men, they will take the best deal possibly for them, they won't worry about the mounting pressure on them to leave, they will leave only when the deal is right for them, people like them get into their position by being ruthless business men, don't expect them to be anything less.

Excellent thread. Marching is a great idea and we don't need massive numbers to look effective. In fact just a few hundrend would be quite a sight and that is easily achieveable. Needs to be on a matchday and needs to be publicised and correctly policed as we don't want to give away our position being spoilt by a few morons who may use it as a vehicle to cause mayhem. 100% behind the idea and I'm in!

Just lifted my post from the other thread as this seems a sensible place for it:

If we are to demonstrate then it can't be a fortnight about depending on the strength of feeling it has to be all or nothing. We need to get organised, get numbers and get vocal. Many threads previously much talk but no action. T-shirts, sit-ins, banners in and around the City, any opportunity should be used to drive them out. I'm past caring if there is a viable alternative. We're going down regardless if they stay so its a must to distance them further get us into admin sooner rather than later and let Hoffman or another consortium pay the nominal £1. If this continues much longer we will be starting League 1 with a points deduction instead and then the threat of extinction becomes much more real.

Not a lot is known about them or their investors. Why would the investors be worried about bad publicity? Their names would not come up with the bad press. They will want their losses to be kept to a minimum though. Maybe protests at their offices will be the best, but would this cause more than a bloody nose? Maybe just a bit of embarrassment to them.

Its not about embarrassing their investors publicly, it is about making investors or would be investors nervous about sisu. People became nervous about northern rock and quickly queued to get their money out. Now I am not saying it is the same set up or as simple but when investors become nervous because of perceived problems, and sisu have many problems, they usually want to get their money out quick.
Sisu would be desperate to off load if their investors begin to wobble.

Nobody is going to come to our rescue Abramovic stile, but to have provern top financial business people such as Gary Hoffman with his many well heeled associates has to be a better bet than a bunch of vikings from Finland with a history of rape and pillage.
I for one minute don't think Mr Hoffman is going to ride into town on his white charger but I do think being a fan and a rather fanatical fan at that he wouldn't put our club, his club, into the hands of shysters.
