Time for a total boycott (3 Viewers)

I like most committed Sky Blues fans love watching and supporting our team through thick and thin, and a total boycott of the club (i.e. not attending matches, not buying merchandise etc) goes against everything I believe in. However, these are truly desperate times and unless SISU leave asap there may not be a club to support. Imagine if the b*stards were still here in two or three years time, we'll probably be in the Blue Square Premiership at this rate! Therefore we must force them out for the sake of our club and I think the only way to do that is a complete boycott of the club while they remain owners. Only then will they realise that they are not wanted and the game is up. I hope all fans will consider this, desperate times call for desperate measures.

I understand your sentiment, but those actions would just harm the club further. If we don't go, that's even less income the club are generating, which obviously increases our losses and puts us in an even worse financial position. It's a real Catch 22.

If necessary administration would be preferable to another few years of this. Under SISU the club has no ambition and no future. SISU will continue to denude the club of any quality players and we will end up with a team of academy players who will struggle to be competitive in League 2. We have to do something drastic to show SISU that this must not be allowed to happen. If it pushes the club and SISU into admin, then perhaps that is a price worth paying as the current "death by a thousand cuts" strategy of SISU is horrendous.

That's the irony of this type of sentiment though isn't it. If we pulled in 32,000 a week all with a replica shirt and a programme, we would be making money hand over fist and could afford to sign players, renew contracts, etc.

At the heart of it all the problem with the club is we don't bring in enough fans for our outgoings.

Or we continue to turn up (the small amount of us that do) we continue to put money into the club (that can not be supported by the owners seen as they are losing money them selves) and we will tick along selling all assets until we get relegated or administration or both while SISU keep pulling what little money than can from the club sales.

I share the difficulty many have by taking drastic action such as not attending. But as I mentioned in another post a one-off 'now show' for the Derby game sends a strong united fan message that would be difficult for the board and SISU to ingore. Especially in front of a TV audience. To those who have concerns about plugging the club in to further debt, really can it be any worse by showing fan unity for the Derby game. Over recent weeks, Clouting and co have openly stated that they are preparing for further downsizing aka preparing for this so called 'spending within means' baseline. Without the fans showing a strong hand there is no chance of registering our dissatisfaction. The alternative, protesting vocally during games is unlikely to have an impact. Taking action that is not the norm can create and invoke a response. Brinner and co recently demonstarted this!

No we wouldn't. Extra 16000 fans at an average ticket price of £18 would give an extra of around £500k a month, which means we would just be about breaking even. Perfect example of how badly the club has been run, the fact we could have the biggest crowds in the Championship and still not make any money.
