One thing that always makes me smile about this new stadium bollocks and revenues from all year round.....
He honestly believes that the new shed will attract business other than football, when the Ricoh is a proven venue for this and will be a clear favourite if there was a choice between the two?
Essentially they need to build a Ricoh 2 and steal business from them and that simply ain't gonna happen.

So you and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, would be happy to go either 1)Cold Turkey and not have a team to support, or 2)support a team that doesn't represent the City of Coventry?

This may be hard to fathom, but those two options you pulled from wherever you keep the hilarious nicknames aren't the only options. They're barely options at all, just a hypothetical you've invented to make terrible similes and lord it over people who are happy to watch a team currently representing the City of Coventry again.

Bearing in mind your hypothesis includes a new stadium actually being built and 'defiantly' being outside the city, you may as well include flying monkeys and rainbows coming to life in your quest to show yourself the moral superior to all the junkies.

Do you start believing what Tim Fisher says when it's convenient for your 'point'?

Absolutely everything he posts is the very definition of a straw man argument. You're better off laughing at him rather than engaging him in any worthwhile discussion.

http://cheezburger.com/3604843008 ...........Whatever ajsccfc and hill83....I'm more concerned what happens if they actually do build a stadium...and if it is built, it WON'T be built in Coventry boundaries, and that is definately not defiantly. As for "Lording it" I'll leave that up to the likes of you and hill83.

Definately's still not a word, you don't know what'll happen at all, and you are lording it by trying to take the moral high ground over people going back to the Ricoh. You gibbering idiot.

I bet Sky Blue Kid thought he was really intelligent whilst typing that cringeworthy nonsense comparing fans going to the Ricoh as drug addicts looking for their next fix.

Sometimes I wonder if some of the posters on this board are simply genius satirical parodies of other Cov fans.

Haven't been able to listen to it yet. Did he mention capacity? Given that we've apparently sold out the Ricoh is he still arguing 14k (or whatever it was) capacity will be enough?

Here's a curve ball to think about :
With the rail link being given the go ahead surely this is a massive incentive to own the ground ,the accessibility from surrounding areas will be greatly improved encouraging a larger catchment area, also direct link to the city centre which can only improve match day and comercial event day experience more people not coming by car , = more people using the casino , drinking making it more of a cash cow . What ever they pay for the arena now can only be worth more when the rail link is active , I still think they are more interested than they will ever let on

@ Sterling Archer....To read the shit that some of you type on here is cringeworthy, stand back and read it! SISU have "Done a job on you all" They take the Club away to Northampton" Let the fans suffer, and know that 90% of us(Not me) will look on them like Saviours, (Stockholm Syndrome) for bringing the Club back to the Ricoh. Only you all fail to see that F**k all has changed in the hostage stakes. I've just got this gut feeling that the wheels are going to come off. Sometime around their 3rd JR failure.

They have said countless times that they want to own their own stadium. And they have shown several times that they don't want to pay anywhere near the true value. They have lost millions and gone backwards in their quest. And now Timothy starts again before our first game back. So it certainly isn't a secret that they want the Ricoh. And it also isn't a secret that they don't want to pay for it.

Makes sense to me.

A lot of celebrating has been going on concerning our return but Timothy has already stated that he sees it as a temporary move.

How are we suppose to be happy when there is no end in sight to all this crap?

I'm talking about this nonsense about how (and I quote) "90% of fans see SISU as saviours" ... which is quite simply not true.

Unless of course you saw my response before I edited it to include the post I was actually replying to.

I know they don't want to pay the asking price but I do think the rail link is a bigger piece of the puzzle than we think and now they are back at the Ricoh they are back round the table

0.9% would be closer. After all they did save us from admin until they saw it as a good way of getting what they want. And now the odd few will see them as hero status for bringing us home although they were running out of options.

I'm also really confused as to why 'being happy at returning to the Ricoh' has suddenly become mutually exclusive with 'falling in love with SISU via Stockholm Syndrome'.

i wonder if there's an equally hilarious link to a gif to answer that one?

If, what I and a growing number of fans are saying, is true, The majority on here are acting like "Druggies". As long as you get "Your fix short term", you don't seem to care about the "Long term" What you all going to do if at the end of the 2-4 years period SISU actually do what they say and build a new stadium, which will definately be "Outside of Coventry City Boundaries" and as such, will NOT (In my mind) be representing Coventry....Well! what you going to do???

Just a thought...turning it around the other way. Am I not a proper fan because I don't 1. Come from Coventry City 2. Don't live withing" the Coventry boundary you talk of so preciously?
