wether as a set of fans we agree or disagree it is a fact that Sisu/Otium fisher/Sepalla and co have saved our bacon yet again!

The abundance of silence from the council speaks volumes, Fisher stated yesterday to sky sports that the administration process had been abused, and it had, the council used the administration action initially to place the club into liquidation, it would not have been done by Appleton, it would have been done by a council paid lackie. The club would have gone into liquidation and our of existence completely if the council had got their way.

If the fans who hate sisu consider one thing maybe they would see the council in a different way today: if we had not been mismanaged by Sisu (something they have admitted and apologized for) and lets say we were still in the championship middle table finish last season, buying players now for this season and all the associated excitement of the start of a season, would you be blaming Sisu/ Otium for this mess? no you wouldn't.

you need to remember a couple of obvious points here before you turn your backs on our club.

1. it was the rent issue that broke the camels back at the end of the day and the council flat refusal to budge to an acceptable rent rate. (about £150,000 a year)

2. It was the council who strarted administration process, not the club - as soon as they did so the game was over, liquidation was the only option viable to keeping the club alive

3. the council at the last minute decided to put us in liquidation (knowingly) when refusing to agree the cva.

4. this is our money - our taxes - almost £600,000 of our money the council just threw away because of their foolish pride.

5. the 14 million pound loan is going to put our council in the middle of a shit storm of a scandal soon enough

6. The club are stating they have not ruled out playing at the ricoh while they build a new stadium - so again its all down to the council

the council are now once again in a position where we can play at the Ricoh, (even though Northampton was ratified yesterday) but i bet you any penny they will not take the offer up.

let me tell you why - the council (or should i say - certain councilors) have plans for the Ricoh arena, where football is only a minor part if any. they are seeing the stadium as a perfectly placed exhibition and business centre / concert stadium. Board rooms and lecture halls as well as a bigger hotel venture etc... plus the land is already given the go ahead for buidling of shopping centres and rail links --- in other words the council have realized they might quite like the ricoh and what comes with it themselves. Why let anyone else make the profits. Thats the deal my friends, its nothing to do with the rent fro sisu, its about the money to be made from the grounds, the arena and the developmental area. this will all come out in time to come. heard it from TSB first though didn't you!

Why does it matter? Your saviour is soon going to build you a new stadium, so forget about the Ricoh.

He's even found a nice temporary home in Northampton just for you.

No you prat, it's always been about owning the stadium. This is no scoop, Sisu are trying to destroy ACL and get the stadium on the cheap, it wont happen.

1) ACL (therefore the Council) offered £150k rent, and even the new deal this week of between £100k-£400k, league dependant

2) Council initially called for administration process AFTER SISU, Fisher & Co. came out threatening to liquidate the club. THEY then put themselves in administration. No guarantee would have been put in admin, as it was only a court hearing to decide to be put in admin

3) Council AND HM Revenue & Customs declined the CVA, so not just council on that 1

4) Agreed, money has been thrown out because 2 warring parties cannot sit down and discuss. However, Councils "pride" isn't the only factor, SISU's arrogance is another

5) Agreed, it probably will. But, so will everything SISU has done. What goes around comes around

6) Havent seen this statement so cant comment. But the club are not SISU. The club may be willing to play at Ricoh, but SISU will only sign a new contract if theres something in there that allows them to get some form of control on the stadium. Its obvious that's all that want - the arena. Cut off ACL's main income (football), they will then be forced to sell at cut price, SISU would hope to be preferred bidder as they have the football team to use it.

Bottom paragraph - Of course its about the bigger picture with the arena. But that's why SISU want it too, so your whole post about how its Councils fault, im not denying they are AT fault, but they are not THE fault.

The best thing anyone can do is ignore the post and let tsb crawl back under the rock from which he came. It's just a Leicester fan on a Piss take.

Really is astounding how this plan SISU have to force ACL to collapse...ACL are basically coventry city council they will outlast some pathetic hedge fund who are gonna be running at a loss WEEKLY while playing in Northampton with their 200 fans there is basically NO CHANCE ACL are gonna go hat in hand offering the Ricoh to SISU for pennies it's just aint gonna happen seriously cannot see how they think that will work its total madness how do these people even get into these positions to be able to run football clubs...But then again it's the football League at the head of this FARCE !!!

Sisu played a blinder & brought the council down!
Never mess with Joy ;)
Council have been raking in loads off CCFC last few years, payback time!
Why should CCFC worry about regenerating north coventry, it's a football club FFS!
As long as the club returns closer to home, i'm happy!

ACL didn't offer the £150k rent to the current owners.

True Sky Blue, you sir are a 1st class Cock. It's a disgrace that you use that name on here, you are anything but.

ACL didn't offer the £150k rent to the current owners.

They may not have offered the 150k rent to the new owners, but they have offered it to SISU, who are practically the new owners. Not to mention the newest offer midweek (though according to Appleton that wasn't legal)

Although I distinctly remember the time where several people on here were referring to Sillett as a spineless SISU puppet yes man. Showed that nobody's above the knee-jerk scorn this place specialises in.

There is one positive to all this - all the SISU loving scum will head off to shitfields and hopefully stay there so when the real sky blues finally return or rise from the ashes we will have got rid of all the thick cunts and be left with only decent, intelligent fans - now that's a result!!

Grendel you really are a strange creature.

You seem to conveniently forget that sisu had the opportunity to buy the stadium 5 years ago! Had they done as they said they would do none of what has transpired would have happened.

However you try and spin it this is 100% sisu's fault.

The council haven't been 'brought down', as far as I can see CCC is operating as normal. In fact the only one that has been 'brought down' by sisu is the team you supposedly support.

Council haven't made a penny out of the club. If you have evidence to suggest otherwise then post it or shut up.

Why should Ccfc worry about regenerating north Coventry? Well using the same narrow minded view, why should the council care about helping a privately owned football club?

The club won't be coming home. Unless a deal is struck with acl Ccfc shall never play in the Coventry area again.

The fact you are taking delight in the liquidation of our football club sickens me.

So are you saying your going to sixfields on 11th???

i still believe we will be at the ricoh, the game is still being played between these two sides, theyre still at it behind the scenes. my opinion is it will be a last minute decision to agree on a way forward. the council will have to give in in the end

well if you so called fans arent prepared to watch your team anywhere you can you cant be real fans in my opinion. the real fans will be at sixfields for the lads. i salute them - they are doing what they can to ensure coventry city continue, while the moaning millies here want to see it burnt to ashes. god we have some real fools as fans
