There was a pricing structure at Sixfields which remained consistent so there were no promotions as such.
yeah so they danced around the issue which is pricing structure is a bit steep in many fans minds.
Pricing structures should be competitive to the market they are in.
It's ok people saying they think £15 is about right for league one game but if no team charges that it clearly is not right.

People price in the market they compete in. You seem to have a real problem with comprehending basic economics.
Surely we're offering a better product? A "world class" Premier League stadium and a side that looks like it's got promotion credentials?

These are the prices Leicester were charging for the Man united match (sold out) so do our prices look good value to any one.

The Category A match takes place on Saturday October 4, with a 5.30pm kick-off.
Standard prices are £27 to £45 [adults], £27 to £45 [concessions], £20 to £40 [U18s], £17 to £40 [U8s] and £38 to £45 [adult/junior (U16) combo ticket].
If that was the case, most games in this league would be dirt cheap for prices with the grounds in this league.
i mentioned on another thread. CCFC missed a trick this season in terms of getting fans back. Should have stuck to the season ticket prices and match prices from sixfields as a goodwill gesture for the past 16 months hell. If they could afford to subsidise sixfields then a ricoh with 20k in at £14 would be more feasible than a ricoh of 10k at prices of £22.

So you're implying that we are competing with other league one teams for fans money?
Seems like you have a problem comprehending the entertainment industry and football in particular.
Other league one teams aren't competing for CCFC fans money and as such our pricing strategy shouldn't be looking at them. We're competing against other forms of entertainment both online and locally.

I do work in marketing but you don't need a GCSE in marketing to work out that you will get additional revenue at certain price points. Charging what we do will give a competitive revenue on average crowds. Lowering prices will not significantly attract higher crowds on a continued basis . It never has.
Lets look at it another way
if you cant afford the one off payment on a season ticket , with no direct debit being offered yet
23 matches in the standard zone all tickets bought in advance cost the average fan £506 a season each if they attend each match
premium zone (so halfway line )£575
League 1 football , are we serious
Nothing to do with manning up , its a ludicrous pricing scheme , for your information i have a season ticket , my point is the average fan is paying too much money to watch 3rd tier football , do all the people on this forum earn 50k a year and think money is no object , the average working man with kids on an average wage will struggle to attend matchesSave yourself £200 get a 0% credit card and buy a season ticket. False edit: found the answer: they look elsewhere (especially commercial sponsorship) to make most of their money and don't see fans as their main cash cow.
