Did AT make his comments about SISU after the millwall game knowing they will be gone soon? Now he is letting the new owners know he would be happy to stay on. If anyone at the club would know what is going on I would expect AT to know.

I was thinking exactly the same. Strange but the little outburst gave me reassurances that sisu are off

How naive. Thorn worships at the Temple of SISU. They are the only game in town. As if any serious investor would want him as the manager.

Be great if Sisu were off and we had owners who backed Thorn.

Still think there would be the minority out there trotting out the same old "he's a scout not a manager" blah blah blah

But he is? Proven by his tactics! If we got investment i would rather a manager who can change games with decisions, set up a team properly!

Better logic than someone who says Thorn would improve a team like West Ham based on nothing.

Otis' OP requests in bold that it not descend into a Thorn debate-didn't take long. Was it reeeeeeeally much to ask?

So all of you guys saying he's a scout not a manager when you all got your first job did you all know instantly how to do it cause I didn't I made mistakes like thorn has but considering all that I think he did an outstanding job look at the football we are playing I haven't seen that for years just imagine what he could do with money and backing

OK Cranie and Clingan have been criticised on here but will leave as they know they will get better deals elsewhere. Everyone acknowledges Thorn will be a low paid manager here. Tell me then why does he not leave as other clubs have money and backing. They must see the talent you see..musn't they?

Thorn and Harrison I think are tactically poor prime example using the diamond formation for so long when everyone in the ground could see it wasnt working you have to change formations dependent on which team you are playing. Before people start saying he didn't have the players to play any other shape is bollocks.I do think when Sheffers went upfront that was the best he played all season but Thorn decided to move him out of that position after scoring in two games on the bounce.I'm not a thorn hatter just want a manager that has a little more experience.ie Lee Clark

back end of last season with a bit more quality and depth he got us on a good run and deserved the job this season if he had the same squad this season and was able to bring in the players he got then i think we would have done very well as the players he got in have done very well.

Sorry i forgot that great run 3 wins from 10 games.
This season 9 from 46 including cup = 12 from 56
2 Away wins from 29

I hate SISU as much as anybody but has Thorn ever admitted to making any mistakes
It seems when we win Thorns great When we loose it's SISU's fault

Oh dear! Lee Clark? The experienced manager who has only held one job, is younger than Thorn and has achieved what exactly? With a huge budget (biggest in the league we are going into) he failed to gain promotion. Yep that's a cv worth spending a small fortune on.

He will stay in charge for what he has done this season is remarkable considering the circumstances having all limbs tied behind this back at Christmas we would have all taken being 5 points of safety with 2 games left, imagine what he can do with time and investment, just look at the quality of players he has brought to the attention of the club in his role of head scout, too sack him would be terrible we have sacked managers every year for the last 10. Years and it has got us nowhere IN AT WE BELIEVE

It's hard to change games when the players cabable of changing a game are not at your disposal and you even have to have injured players on the field of play

He never failed he was sacked for losing a couple of games on the bounce when they were still in a play off position. Then they brought a manager in that's done worse.Just what I think.Thorn done well when we had better players ie end of last season. We lost them players and I don't think he got the best of what was left, I agree with he had no one else and SISU didn't help by selling our top striker at Xmas.IMO he wouldn't get us back up who could Fecknose tbh

I think given the level of budget and expectation I would keep him. We've kept him as a raw unproven now he is more experienced and like our youth players who have improved this season, I'm sure as a coach he too will have benefitted from the experience and albeit we will be playing at a lower level. However, to call getting relegated a remarkable achievement whichever way you dress it up is beyond ridiculous.

Keeping a dignified silence is professional and hardly the same as worshiping them. Also a wise move for self preservation. It would have been nice if they cane out and defended him. However they are not professional. He has either lost it or he knows they are off and finally blew his dignity. Personally I hope it is because he has been told that they are off. Don't forget Duffy west ham would have been celebrating by now

You asked who could get us up, I would go for O'Driscoll. He is coach at Forest and Cotterill is lucky to have him - results have improved and that can't be a coincidence. He has achieved in that league before, plays football in the right way and I thought was destined for bigger things. Very unlucky imo to lose his job at Doncaster and see what good it did them!

Just out of interest what formation would you have gone for coop with the players we had ?

Agree about us looking good when Sheff was up front, shame we then went and sold Juke and put him back into midfield.

The way they have treated him? Giving him a job no other club in any lifetime at the level we are/were at would EVER have given him and keeping him despite abject failure. If one person has gained anything from those shysters it's him.

You mean a club like Reading? Who even had the cheek to back their manager when they upgraded him from scout - that's just cheating.
